Great PSU
- Pros: Cheap, looks nice and all the cord have cord and are PLENTY long enough for any case. Very quite. Shiney chrome looking surface and it is active PFC. Runs my system great everything overclocked. I have Asus M3A79T Deluxe mobo; AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.5 w/ V1 Black Widow CPU cooler; 2 3870 Toxic running in crossfire; DVD and CD drives both can be buring at the same time and the voltages are stable! Over all a great purchase for any one wanting a great PSU
- Cons: NOT 80% certified, I think that it only puts out 750 constant and 800 under a load look at the pic, which that is what 80 plus means that it is at least 805 the performance that it claims.
- Other Thoughts: Still a good buy
Mine works
- Pros: Powered-up, hope this one keeps working. Has a hefty feel to it.
- Cons: This is the 3rd 800W unit, the first 2 were RMA'ed for failure, but they were the other type of BFG 800W PS with the fan on top.
- Other Thoughts: Dual fans should prevent total failure. I have no problems with BFG customer service, I believe they try to honor their lifetime warranty.
- Pros: Nice bang for the buck, looks cool in gloss black. Four +12v rails at 20 amps each is a lot of power for under $100.
- Cons: Only lasted a couple years and gave out completely without any signs of problems. At 800 watts, it was overkill for my system so it should not have been working that hard. And yes, I have a LOT of air flow in my case, and I leave the side off.
- Other Thoughts: I probably will go with an Antec or a PC Power and Cooling PSU next, as I have a little difficulty with my current Antec PSU's I have owned an equal amount of time and a gaming clan friend recommends the PC Power and Cooling supplies as a must have.
