1 out of 5 eggsEh...Started out ok.

Pros: While it worked, it was great, it wasn't very loud, and the heat output was fairly low, fit my MOBO and SLI setup fairly nice with pretty decent cable management.

Cons: After about a week, it got really fussy on the position of the plug, and wouldn't boot unless I sat there for an hour searching for that magical position that allowed it to boot, after coming back from a LAN party however, I finally snapped and used it to hammer nails into my wall, it did that job better than it did powering my system.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't waste your time on it. There are better economy PSU's out there.

1 out of 5 eggsSimply Terrible

Pros: None

Cons: 1st supply was giving me problems, RMA'd it and received a DOA supply. RMA'd it and received another DOA supply. RMA'd it and talked them into a ES-800 upgrade, which literally threw sparks when I powered it up. BFG will NOT issue a refund, and instead are mailing me a replacement LS-680 (this time a new one). 4 bad PSU's in a row tells me to stay the hell away from these things.

2 out of 5 eggsDead on Arrival

Pros: Lots of cooling, has the extra 8 pin connectors for the new graphics cards, nice to look at.

Cons: Dead on arrival. Tried with several motherboards, it just couldn't get the power output right even to just the motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: I've owned this PSU for about 4 months now and it's able to power a 9800GX2, quad core processor, and 8gb of RAM no problem! I've got more connectors than I will ever need and then some. Haven't been able to hear it at all either despite the huge cooling fan. Others are complaining that this unit was DOA for them, but it's got a 5 year warranty! I doubt mine will die, but if it does I'll just send it back for free! So far a great product, hopefully it will hold up for a long time!

Cons: None at the moment.

Other Thoughts: I own several BFG products and have never experienced any issues with their customer service. In fact I sent an email to them about some problems I was having with one of their video cards I own and they replied to me within the HOUR every time I sent a new email. Great job BFG!

2 out of 5 eggsReBranded

Pros: Nice rated power output.

Cons: Same exact output power as the 550W version. How does that work again?

Other Thoughts: See cons. Save your money, and headaches, read the reviews. These restickered units apparently fail a lot more than the 550W version.

4 out of 5 eggs>.<

Pros: Nice and heavy, which means lots of components for heat dissipation. Black, so it doesn't clash with my all black case. Black mesh to cover the wires and black connectors, all for aesthetics to match the actual unit (though the mesh is good for airflow). 4 rails is really nice. I don't have a voltage meter as of now to check how close it really gets to 12v. Ran well for awhile...

Cons: Until a few months in the PSU only gives power when it feels like it. I turn the switch on for the PSU and I can watch my mobo power light flicker on and off. I'm typing this while using it but thats after 10 minutes of fiddling with it and being lucky that it started. Also, i don't know if its the mobo but I've never had this problem with any other PSU I've used with it, the clip to latch onto the female 24 pin connector just isn't long enough to grab on and stay. I can easily grab onto it and pull by the wire with no force and it just falls right off.

Other Thoughts: This PSU worked very well for a long time now. I've registered it as I forgot to do before, so as of Monday I will be sending in an RMA through BFG. I know this is a luck of the draw thing so I'll give 4 eggs as of now. When RMA time comes around I'll update further.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: good price.........

Cons: In a matter of 24 hours I have gone through 3 of these and all were DOA....Bought one, it was dead, exchanged it and had the tech at my local computer place test it, that one was bad, exchanged it for another one and brought it home, once again dead...my off brand 500W works fine in it but not enough juice.....Been on hold with BFG for 15 minutes so far and have not gotten to a tech for any help or understanding....

Other Thoughts: I can honestly understand about some things just being bad luck but 3 in a row brand new in the box being bad.....that is unacceptable.....if I EVER get ahold of BFG they might take care of me, if not ANOTHER 90 mile round trip to the store for a different brand.....

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: I've owned several BFG video cards before, and have always had great experience with BFG support.

Cons: Unit was DOA. I will be returning it back to my local Fry's. I'm very disappointed.

Other Thoughts: So far, Antec PSUs are the only PSUs that have never given me any problems. I'm still using the same Antec 400w PSU I've been using almost 24/7/365 for the past 4 years. And I was wrong to ever leave them :-/

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Worked right out of the box with no errors of any kid so far.
This thing has a huge amount of connectors, probably had to tie about half the cables and stash them in my case. You can't really hear it on load usually, at least I never do. So far I've had no artifacting with my video card so I know its at least giving out enough power for that (8800GT512mb).
It's rather heavy but that's good considering its a quad-rail. Means more coils and bigger heatsinks and the like.

Cons: Wish it wouldve gotten here faster, but thats not what star was taken away for. The fan blows down, rather than up. It wouldve kept itself and my PC a little cooler with my particular case.

Other Thoughts: Good PSU, worth the money for me. Within the next year I'm gonna upgrade to an 850 watt at least for 4 gigs of Ram and SLi mode. This ones worth it if its fits your system parameters.

2 out of 5 eggsIts okay,

Pros: looks great, plenty of cables.

Cons: it keeps shutting down when i boot vista, ive tried both my 9800 gx2 and 3870 to see if it was a video error. Neither seemed to do any justice. Replaced motherboards but i still get no boot up. Returning to newegg this week, never buying a BFG again, waste of money and time for me. Also, its actually 650W, not 680W.

Their customer support is horrible btw.

Other Thoughts: mine crapped out, im kind of mad, but im sure everyone else wont have as bad of luck.
