3 out of 5 eggsGood Reliable PSU

Pros: Trouble free PSU that packs a punch. Beware of the next gen of multiply 8 pin connects that will be required, which this unit does not have.

Cons: Called them twice regarding two different questions, and their tech support was rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we take our customer's opinions seriously and will look into this situation. Overall we have few complaints concerning support and we sincerely apologize.
Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsPure Power

Pros: Bought this unit three year ago to power a then state of the art gaming PC (over 4 grand)replacing three other power supplys that didnt cut the muster. I have just fire my new PC gamer and the only thing kept is power supply! No words can express the feeling of knowing that no matter what you put into the box, this power supply can and will handle it

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Just bought two more,NewEggs ROCKS!!!

5 out of 5 eggsPiece of mind

Pros: I have used PC P&C power supplies for several years now. When shopping for a 1K unit I was reluctant to pay $500+ for a PSU so I bought another brand and it died on me after 1 month. I returned it and bought this PSU which was my first choice. This PSU has been powering my gaming rig for over a year now and has never skipped a beat. If you need piece of mind like I do this is the PSU for you.

Cons: Very large but most 1KW PSU's are.

Other Thoughts: It would take a lot of convincing to get me ever to switch from PC P&C again. I have never had an issue with the last 10 PC P&C units I have owned.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PSU

Pros: Excellent power supply, provides good, clean power to all the componenents in the system. PCP&C reputation is also top notch.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Unit is a little larger than a standard ATX supply (in length), so make sure your case can handle it.

3 out of 5 eggsPC wheres the Power?

Pros: Its Black and sleaved

Cons: Under Vista 64 playing crysis the power went out twice. The motherboard was still juiced and gave a 'de-assert psu' error. I have two GTXs in SLI and I think it only happens in SLI mode which makes me think that the psu is overheating and shuts itself off. So the Con is that I'm looking at an RMA and I really hate to pull my neat cables apart and pay for shipping to return a 1kw that can't handle two gtxs!

Other Thoughts: To the manufacterer comment all you want. Blame it on drivers all you want. The fact is Crysis stresses the machine like no other game out there and I guess I bought the wrong psu!

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, please contact tech support at the link below. You likely have another issue, as the 1kw will run any SLI rig without a hitch. We can help you troubleshoot and diagnose the problem.
Thanks

4 out of 5 eggsShe's Big and Loud but Always There for You

Pros: Powers everything I can throw at it. Definitely NOT the weakest link in my rig. Looks nice - worthy of a clear case. Runs cool (but maybe that's because the fan's always on HIGH). I do not believe I will ever overload this thing.

Cons: Noisy fan. It alone makes my computer very loud. I am not aware of any way to reduce the speed of the fan on this model. You should be able to have the fan slow down when not under heavy load. This thing is also very long and heavy, which could be an issue for smaller cases.

Other Thoughts: Some folks believe that the rated power IS the draw and that you will have a large utility bill. This is NOT what that number means. If your PC requires only a few hundred watts that's all you'll use. Just don't over over 1,000 watts (not sure how you could). The manufacturer makes the case that using a stronger PS means greater efficiency and better cooling. I think I am a believer. This power supply effortlessly drives the following: EVGA 122-CK-NF67-T1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i LT SLI motherboard, ASUS EN8800GTX/HTDP/768M, Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 Kentsfield 3.0GHz LGA 775 130W Quad-Core Processor, Two SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burners SATA Model SH-S203B, ZALMAN CNPS9700 CPU Cooler, CORSAIR Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 TWIN2X2048-8500C5D, Two Western Digital Raptors WD740ADFD 74GB 10,000 RPM in RAID 0 config, Aerocool PowerPanel Multifunction Panel, Creative 70SB046A00000 Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Just started building my second rig. Had a question about the M/B connections, emailed customer support, had a reply within 2 hours, that evening had an email that the adapter needed was on the way. Hope I don't have anyother need for them but this is better support than I had any hope for.

Cons: None at this time.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome is all I can say.

Pros: Rock solid, stable voltages. Extreme power output. Loads of connectors. Everyone should get one.

Cons: Price - but you get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: This power supply is the cream of the crop. Easily powers the following: QX6850 Quad core, eVGA 680i mobo, 4 sticks 1GB Corsair dominator, 2 x 8800GTX SLI, 2 x 10,000 RPM Raptors RAID 0, 2 x 7,500 RPM Caviars RAID 1, SONY DVD, 5 x 12 CM fans, 1 x 20 CM Fans, X-Fi Extreme Gamer, Zalman 9700.

3 out of 5 eggsstill noisey

Pros: lots of power looks cool.

Cons: Well, in my last post I stated I had to remove it from my rig due to electrical whine and a obnoxiously loud fan. I sent it to PC power&cooling and got it back with no improvement at all. It still sounds like a slowly leaking faucet, and the fan makes you feel like your head is next to an air purifier. "Sad" I spent 500 on this thing and 20 to ship it to them.

4 out of 5 eggsWhen the lights go out...

Pros: Sleaved cables...

Cons: Had a couple of crowbar "outages" While playing Crysis possibly becuase two GTXs and four harddrives stressed it out... Note only in Crysis!

Other Thoughts: Suppose to be a quality product but I am shocked that it couldn't handle this system: 4x1gb ram, X-Fi, Wifi card, 8800GTX x2, E6600, Six fans, Matrix orbital, four hard drives, and 1 cd rom...

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, possibly you had a game crash or a video driver issue and not a PSU problem. The 1KW should handle your system just fine. Loading the system with any stressful game should initiate a hardware failure if that were the issue. It should not occur only in Crisis.
Thanks
