With all the processors, cards, fans, add-ons and being added to systems today, it's harder to find the power to you need without overheating! Your relief has arrived! Here's extreme PC power & cooling performance and reliability, with 750W of continuous power and a peak power of 825W!

It features a powerful single 12V rail rated at 60A continuous. The ultra-quiet cooling design leaves the inlet wide open, so 90% less noise is generated per watt with an impressive 83% efficiency. The active PFC (.99) neatly handles input sags and surges and eliminates the need for an 110V to 220V input switch. Automatic fan speed control minimizes noise without sacrificing proper cooling.

This power supply has a 24-pin main connector, a 4-pin 12V connector, an 8-pin 12V CPU connector, 8 peripheral connectors, 6 SATA connectors, a floppy connector, and two PCI-E connectors, two 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-E connectors. The Silencer 750 Quad is NVIDIA SLI and CrossFire certified. This economical, ultra-quiet power supply is backed by a 5-Year warranty and support.

  • newegg EPS12V Compatible Compatible with the EPS12V standard, the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply provides maximum power stability to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other components for desktop and even sever computer systems.
  • newegg 750W Maximum Power The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply provides a maximum power of 750W for a safe, reliable output for high-end computer systems.
  • newegg NVIDIA SLI Certified Featuring four 6-pin PCI-E power connectors, the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply has gone through a series of rigorous NVIDIA SLI certification tests for maximum system stability when building NVIDIA SLI PCs.
  • newegg ATI CrossFire Certified The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply has gone through a series of rigorous ATI CrossFire certification tests for maximum system stability when building CrossFire Ready multi-video-card PCs.
  • newegg Ultra-Quiet Cooling Design The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply employs an innovative, ultra-quiet design at the inlet side of the PSU fan for minimized air turbulence. By constructing a noise suppression air gap, no air turbulence and obstruction exist within 1" at the fan inlet, resulting in an ultra-quiet operation.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellence

Pros: This is, hands down, the greatest power supply I have ever owned. I bought it based on the fact, as stated in a pc gamer magazine, that all PC Power and Cooling power supplies were exceptional in all the machines with the exception of one, because that one bad power supply was dropped as they indicated in their article. They may be more expensive, but they are absolutely worth it. You will get your money's worth when buying power supplies from these ladies and gents. I have had this power supply since December 2007 and it's still going strong. Every other component in the computer has been replaced at least once, maybe even 2 or 3 times since then and yet this power supply remains.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: None!

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Been running this thing since December 2007. I rarely turn my PC off. Just checked the voltage recently after cleaning my system. No problems. If it ever fails, PC Power and Cooling has my business again.

5 out of 5 eggsBest PSU I've ever owned

Pros: This PSU has been running my current system for 5 and a half years! Never had an issue the entire time. I am upgrading to a new system and was on a nostalgic trip back through my NewEgg order history. I felt I had to let PC Power and Cooling know how much I love this PSU. Too bad they got bought out!

Cons: None what-so-ever!

5 out of 5 eggsQuality, still going strong

Pros: I've had this PSU since July 2008 purchased to run my AMD 9950 BE and 4870 and now its been powering my new system 3570k & 7870 with no problems. Checked voltage specs with a Volt meter before reusing it for my new system all rails passed. Good quality Seasonic built unit for PC Power & Cooling.

Cons: No CONs!

If PC Power & Cooling keeps it up I will most defiantly go to them for my next one when this one decides to call it quits.

Other Thoughts: Make sure to research extensively before purchasing one. Just search " PSU Review Database" which has a list of companys and the company OEM's that manufacture them for that company.

PC Power & Cooling may have been bought out by OCZ but the company runs independent from OCZ

5 out of 5 eggsNearly 10 years, going strong

Pros: Absolutely rock solid. PC P&C's PSUs were always rock solid. I've used them in every system I've ever owned (since 1994 ish) til recently. MY main game rig has used the same 750w Silencer for going on 9 almost 10yrs now. Same PSU, still as good as the day it was made.

Cons: -Discontinued
-Company bought by OCZ

Other Thoughts: Since being bought by OCZ quality has gone down. The 750w Silencer was one of the last true PC P&C high quality PSUs.

But never fear! PC P&C never made their own PSUs, Seasonic was their contracted OEM for the longest time (until OCZ bought them). And Seasonic now markets their own PSUs under their own brand. And they appear to have taken some of the high quality ideals of the original PC P&C company with them.

*edit: ROFL. the filter complains about calling them P C P.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: This is an excellent PSU. I'm have mine for about 5 years now in a Core 2 Duo system. It powers everything without any problems with power to spare. I can say that I have stress this to some extent. Not a 24/7 stress but good enough as I use to be a gamer and played for many hours a day. There are plenty of cables to power almost everything you put in your case.

Cons: As mentions by others, there are alot of cables that can be a nightmare when trying to hide them all.

Other Thoughts: This isn't the greatest PSU on the market but great for its time. Thought about taking an egg because it's not modular but after 5 years of running and not one day of pain; 5 eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsBeastly.....

Pros: Thing has been rock solid for over 5 years.

Cons: PC Power and Cooling got sucked into OCZ. I'm worried it might have affected the quality of the product.

Other Thoughts: Like I said in the "cons", PC Power and Cooling got bought out and integrated into OCZ. If OCZ was smart, and left PC Power and Cooling to build all the PSU's, they will be golden. If they didn't, it's a d*mn shame, because this thing has been awesome.
