1 out of 5 eggsDefective

Pros: None, since it's defective. When it works, it delivers consistent power that can't be beat.

Cons: This is my second PCPC Turbo-Cool 1200W. The first one lasted 5 years before dying, this one was essentially dead on arrival. It wasn't completely dead, however. It would come on and then turn off after about 5-30 seconds.

It acted up upon first use, but then worked fine for a day so I disregarded the strange behavior (because my mobo/cpu is old) and discarded the box that it came in. On the second day, the issue was apparent and after switching out with a different PSU I confirmed there was something wrong with this one. However, since I discarded the box I could not return to NewEgg so I'm currently in the process of sending to the manufacturer for repair. Hopefully it will be a quick process.

I went to a local computer store to buy another PCPC PSU and it was defective as well! I think I'm done with PCPC. I ended up buying an OCZ PSU, which works great, but they bought out PCPC back in 2007 I believe so essentially my money went to the same place.

5 out of 5 eggsLong life with 0% trouble

Pros: This supply was expensive when purchased in 2009 but it has run for over 20,000 hours with not one problem.

Cons: There are none.

5 out of 5 eggsBig but rock solid PSU

Pros: PC Power and Cooling (now with OCZ) still makes one heck of a good PSU. This 1200W version handled a rendering PC with high end GPUs and two high end Xeon 8 core procs with no issues.

Cons: Could be will need a very large PSU space in your case.

Other Thoughts: A good PSU is worth a few extra bucks. Especially for critical machines.

5 out of 5 eggsits all in the pruduct title

Pros: Its a beast, no problems at all. its 2x the size of my older box. when I buy i want the best, try to aim top quality. last think i wanna be thinking and doing, is the math for expensive hardware that i need for my work.

Cons: none, only that there's a lot of wires which anyone with a computer knows. just took a good couple hours to neatly tuck and clean everything up for good flow and visual.

Other Thoughts: personally i believe you get what you pay for, unless your getting the cutting edge experimental hardware. I personally feel that i got my moneys worth with this product, plenty of room to expand, and hope i dont have to replace it for a long time.

5 out of 5 eggsTurbo-Cool 1200W Powersupply

Pros: Stable, handles high demand with no sweat. 1200W, need I say more?

I have an i7 860, 16GB of G-skilled Sniper ram, 1 90GB OCZ Vertex SataIII, 2 64GB Kingston SataII (RAID), 1TB Caviar Black SataIII, 2 Gigabtye ATI 4850 (crossfired), 2 Fan controllers, Water pump and a few other devices connected. Everything that can be overclocked is and the powersupply never skips a beat!

Cons: Nothing really. People complain about noise but I have 8 fans, a water pump, fish tank filter (yes that is right). I bought a Logitech G35 and it effortlessly drains the noise out.

Other Thoughts: I got mine second hand and it seems that it was opened and new wires were ran. I might have to undo this and I am pretty sure my warrenty is null and void.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Medusa redux

Pros: It keeps on giving me the power. It has never failed to give me the power. Not one problem since my first review, which is called "The Medusa". It was, like, back in 2008! The other day I upgraded from a geforce 295 to a 590 gpu. It was troublefree for this powersupply. I am so glad I forsaw my need and provided for a long and happy PC gaming future. Today it is still a "buy", as far as my limited knowledge of these things can see.

Cons: Very really and actually none. That it is not modular is not a con. Duh! Don't buy it if that is your bent.

4 out of 5 eggsBest of the best.

Pros: Reliable. Reliable. Reliable. PC Power & Cooling has been in the PSU business since the 1980's...and they have one of the best reputations in the hardware industry. It's all I buy because they never let me down. It comes with a 7 year warranty. SEVEN YEARS! That is unheard of! You're lucky to get a 1 year warranty on hardware. Man, these guys just impress the mess out of me.

Cons: Not modular.

Other Thoughts: Add modular cables and you have the perfect PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsGTX 280s work fine

Pros: This review is a rebuttal to the one that says EVGA GTX280s dont run right with this. I have yet to find anything that will not run right or break this monster power supply. I have run 3X280 gtx without problems for more then a year. I am on my fourth year in a part of rural CA where power outages are frequent. Yes I run a backup PSU but this one is solid and performs well.

Cons: Size. A little noisy.

Other Thoughts: If you want a power supply to last for a decade, I suggest this. I am a beleiver in the single rail systems and PC Power was at the forefront.

3 out of 5 eggsNot enough

Pros: Has plenty of connectors....

Cons: Wasnt able to power my system. It ran for the first 10 min, and then it just kept shutting itself does make me rather proud to know that my build is so amazing that even this power supply doesnt do the trick for this beast. Im thinking about buying a few more of these and just finding a way to link them together

Other Thoughts: My Build:
-pentium III 1.2ghz
-128mb RAM
-16gb HDD
-SiS intagrated video
-Floppy Drive

5 out of 5 eggsSimply the best

Pros: I love this PSU. No problems.. this is the 2nd system I have had it in. No power issues what so ever. Went through a lot of other PSU's maybe its just bad luck... but no issues with this one.

Cons: NONE.

Other Thoughts: Performance and reliability come with a price. This is not a con but a fact of life. If you want a cheaper PSU... good luck... things might not go to well for you if you have a high end system.
i7 975x oc 4ghz
6 case fans
fatality sound
2 295gtx (2 5970's upgraded)
12g 2000 dominator ram
3 cold cathodes.
no problems.
