With all the processors, cards, fans, add-ons being added to systems today, it's getting harder to find the power you need without overheating! Your relief has arrived! Here's PC power, extreme cooling and reliability, with 910W of maximum power!
It features a powerful single 12V rail rated at 74A continuous. The ultra-quiet cooling design leaves the inlet wide open, so 90% less noise is generated per watt with an impressive 88% typical efficiency (80PLUS SILVER Certified). The active PFC (.99) neatly handles input sags and surges and eliminates the need for an 110V to 220V input switch. Automatic fan speed control minimizes noise without sacrificing proper cooling.
This power supply has a 24-pin main connector, a 4-pin 12V connector, an 8-pin 12V CPU connector, 7 peripheral connectors, 12 SATA connectors, a floppy connector, and four PCI-E connectors, two 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-E connectors. The Silencer 910 is NVIDIA SLI certified. This economical, ultra-quiet power supply is backed by a 5-Year warranty and support.

nice!
- Pros: I have been building computers for quite some time now, and this is the highest quality power supply i have come accross. I highly reccomend this. Running quad core and SLI(you name it, it runs it) Not to mention that it's a good looking unit.
- Cons: The cables are the weakness. I would love for PC P&C to listen to customers about demanding a modular cable system. There are an abundance of cables, however there poses the problem with cable managment. Also seeing that the new graphics cards are requiring auxiliary power(the higher-end requiring 2x either 6 or 8 pin connectors), there should have been another set of 6+2 pin pcie connectors. There are sufficient cables to supply power for SLI, however if you decide to go with tri-SLI, you will need to use the (double)4-pin molex to pcie adapters for the third card. Hopefully they will be supplied by your video card.
- Other Thoughts: All in all, nothing is perfect. If given the opportunity we could pick apart everything that exists. I would certainly buy this again.
Best Power Supply Series Ever!
- Pros: Absolutely silent running a Core i7 920@3.2Ghz, Dual 4870 1GB video cards in Crossfire X, 3 hard drives, and 2 optical drives. Voltages are stable even when running OCCT and the system still stays silent. Very long cables for any conceivable computer case. Even has dual 8pin 12V CPU load bearing plugs in case you want to do dual Xeons in there!
- Cons: Longer than you standard power supply (not really a con, since that's how the silence is acheived, but it may not fit in some mid towers). The number of SATA and molex power cables could stand to be reduced by 1 as there are 3 lengths of cables with 12 SATA power cables and 8 molex cables total. Bringing that down to 8 and 4 respectively would not hurt functionality IMO.
- Other Thoughts: It amazes me that this power supply can stay nearly dead silent running a Core i7 with dual high-end graphics cards, and still achieve 88% efficiency.
My old Silencer 610w I replaced would run the aforementioned system, but it was like a hair dryer since it was near max capacity. The fact that the 610w would run it all day long, while a cheaper 850w I tried first (it died within a day) couldn't handle the load, speaks volumes about the quality of PC Power and Cooling products. They've got a customer for life!

Exemplary PSU
- Pros: Seemingly limitless single rail, very tightly regulated power delivery. Bulletproof quality. Quiet when not pushed. Very well priced for this caliber of supply. Not modular (but a mountain of cables to juggle).
- Cons: Small classic fan design can get noisy under heavier loads. Too big for some cases. Cable routing this supply is like wrestling an octopus. More molex caps, please.
- Other Thoughts: We've been using PCP&C for over 15 years now. We've never had one fail. We've had several go over 10 yrs 24/7 before retiring them. They remain the gold standard for us for any critical app.
Shhhhh.... very quiet
- Pros: Very quiet for 910 watts of power. Single rail design. Plenty of plugs.
- Cons: A tight fit in most cases. Not American made.
Great PSU!!!
- Pros: Ample power. Lots of connectors. Looks sexy in my case!
- Cons: Maybe too many connectors??? :) Hard to hide them all in my Coolermaster HAF 932.
- Other Thoughts: It's powering my Gigabyte EP45-DS3R with Q9550@ 3.6Ghz. 8 gigs of Mushkin 1066. Two ATI 4850X2's in quad crossfire. Five hard drives. One dvd burner and multiple USB devices. Never once flinched.
