With all the processors, cards, fans, add-ons being added to systems today, it's getting harder to find the power you need without overheating! Your relief has arrived! Here's PC power, extreme cooling and reliability, with 910W of maximum power!
It features a powerful single 12V rail rated at 74A continuous. The ultra-quiet cooling design leaves the inlet wide open, so 90% less noise is generated per watt with an impressive 88% typical efficiency (80PLUS SILVER Certified). The active PFC (.99) neatly handles input sags and surges and eliminates the need for an 110V to 220V input switch. Automatic fan speed control minimizes noise without sacrificing proper cooling.
This power supply has a 24-pin main connector, a 4-pin 12V connector, an 8-pin 12V CPU connector, 7 peripheral connectors, 12 SATA connectors, a floppy connector, and four PCI-E connectors, two 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-E connectors. The Silencer 910 is NVIDIA SLI certified. This economical, ultra-quiet power supply is backed by a 5-Year warranty and support.

What happened to PCP&C?
- Pros: -Efficient Single Rail 12V
-Quality Craftmanship (Read Below) -Nice Warranty Period
- Cons: I'm not one to write reviews, but QA in PCP&C is virtually non-existant from my recent experience. Unit arrived DOA. I purchased one of these to use while my 1200W PCP&C PSU is being sent in to manufacturer RMA and it's a dud!
- Other Thoughts: I've been using PCP&C for years, now the last two units have failed, one 1200w whitin 1 month of usage and now this one came DOA. I don't know what has happened to this company, but either I'm really unlucky or quality control has gone out the window! Now I have to pay shipping back for BOTH units! $700 invested in two power supplies which are nothing more that nice paper weights! Really disappointed with PCP&C, expected much better... shame on you!

Manufacturer Response:Hi, we are very sorry for the problem. We have not changed our manufacturing or QA program at PC Power. We are still located in the same building and have the same staff. Rough handing during shipping is the largest cause of DOA units. We apologize for the 1200w unit going out on you. We use premium components and unfortunately we do have an occasional part failure. Unlike most modern electronics that use integrated circuits and modern discreet components, power supplies still use chokes, transformers and large electrolytic capacitors to get the job done. Please RMA with Newegg and your replacement should work fine for you. Thanks
Learned my lesson!
- Pros: Best PSU for under $200. As the title says I learned my lesson. Bought a Corsair 850TX for my system. A month and 3 dead hard drives later I replaced that with one of these. Using HW Monitor you can see the difference. On the 12 volt rail the Corsair would dip to 11.83 volts while stressing the system. The PCP unit doesn't even flinch and the 12 volt rail never dips below 12.10 volts. I am running a Q9550 OC'd to 3.8 Ghz, two GTX 285 OC'd to 720/1584/1400, a blu ray drive, dvd drive, and two hard drives and this PSU laughs at it. I always used PCP units before but the price of the Corsair swayed me. I have to lay the blame on my 3 toasted hard drives on the Corsair PSU and never again will I buy anything but PC Power. Don't make the same mistake I made, pay the extra 70 bucks and get one of these. Well worth it. Anyone want to buy a Corsair 850TX? lol
- Cons: The motherboard and CPU power cables could have been longer so they would route behind the mobo plate. Not a big deal but would have helped with cable management. Too many sata cables for me but better than not enough.

Exemplary PSU
- Pros: Seemingly limitless single rail, very tightly regulated power delivery. Bulletproof quality. Quiet when not pushed. Very well priced for this caliber of supply. Not modular (but a mountain of cables to juggle).
- Cons: Small classic fan design can get noisy under heavier loads. Too big for some cases. Cable routing this supply is like wrestling an octopus. More molex caps, please.
- Other Thoughts: We've been using PCP&C for over 15 years now. We've never had one fail. We've had several go over 10 yrs 24/7 before retiring them. They remain the gold standard for us for any critical app.
Shhhhh.... very quiet
- Pros: Very quiet for 910 watts of power. Single rail design. Plenty of plugs.
- Cons: A tight fit in most cases. Not American made.
Great PSU!!!
- Pros: Ample power. Lots of connectors. Looks sexy in my case!
- Cons: Maybe too many connectors??? :) Hard to hide them all in my Coolermaster HAF 932.
- Other Thoughts: It's powering my Gigabyte EP45-DS3R with Q9550@ 3.6Ghz. 8 gigs of Mushkin 1066. Two ATI 4850X2's in quad crossfire. Five hard drives. One dvd burner and multiple USB devices. Never once flinched.
