1 out of 5 eggsUnreliable

Pros: Looks appealing, that's it

Cons: After receiving the package, I installed the PSU to my computer. Soon after smoke started to come up from my hard drive. Long story short, it fried my hard drive for whatever reason, and all the files within was lost

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Anonymous,

It is unlikely a defect or damage to the PSU caused the smoke you witnessed from your HDD. Regardless, we are happy to help diagnose and will even provide warranty assistance if applicable. Please contact us using the link below and we will help however we can.

Kind Regards,
PCPC/OCZ Support

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product!

Pros: I've owned this PSU for about 4 months. It has never failed on me. It is visually appealing and very reliable (made by Seasonic). It's very quiet- up to the point where it's hardly audible. Being modular is a huge plus for this PSU. I highly recommend it.

Cons: None so far!

2 out of 5 eggsIssues with mine

Pros: Seems well built, nice HD single rail, It's solid as a rock and weighs a ton, plus it's Bronze rated.

Cons: Mine has a short on the main Mobo connection. RMA time which will be my first ever RMA, I usually have good luck. I could buy 200 of these and all would be good, yet I drew an unlucky card. Upon reflection I should have went with a PC Power and cooling unit that was not so new to market. Maybe a more tried and true model.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear PigChild,

We are sorry to hear about the issues with the motherboard connector cable. If you haven't already please contact our support and we will arrange for a quick warranty resolution.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Regards,

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing PSU!

Pros: Works well
no issues
600w
I got this PSU for $50 sometime last year, for that price this was far better than anything else available. for the $100 it cost now, i'm not sure i would've bought it.

Cons: Not fully modular?

Other Thoughts: I love the looks of this power supply, it is one of the most beautiful pieces of equipment i have!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat quality PSU

Pros: This is manufactured by Seasonic, who are probably the best PSU manufacturers in the industry, so you know already that this unit is going to be made with quality Japan-made materials and not some Chinese junk. The modularity of this unit is also great, with only the very most important cables that everyone is going to use anyway coming already attached. It runs cool and quiet inside my case, and all in all was a great buy that I haven't had a single issue with in my 9 months of ownership.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet for the most part

Pros: Works, stays decently cool under my super-low load, makes virtually no noise, suppose to be very reliable and has some sort of awesome warranty that i hope never to use.
Looks great.
Cables are of fine length for my build (I didnt measure them though).

Cons: i have this high pitched squeal that i Think ive tracked to the powersupply. It only happens under certain kinds of load or when the air conditioning comes on Some days. I am not usually the kind to speculate and judge based on it but the diagnosing would take too much effort and i wont do it. If this powersupply is the cause, i hope no one else gets this issue.

Other Thoughts: TAKE MY REVIEW WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. THIS MAY WELL BE A 5 STAR REVIEW IF I AM WRONG.

3 out of 5 eggsNot as awesome as I thought

Pros: It is quiet, easy to install.

Cons: Its not fully modular.. WHY? This would not run my PC playing games, I have an Nvidia 480 GTX card and it would lock up during play.

Other Thoughts: I got this as a backup while my main PSU was being RMA'd for a noise issue, after getting my main one back i replaced it and have not had any issues with my pc freezing during game play or browsing the internet which is why I am sure its the PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsSleek, Cool, Quiet!

Pros: Very strong +12V rail @46 amps. Volts delivered are stable when monitored in-game. Currently the 600W unit I have is delivering 12.192V on the +12V, 5.040V on the +5V, and 3.392V on the +3.3V. Those values barely fluctuate under load.

White enclosure, brightens a dark case a bit. You could install this with fan up or down and either way the silencer sticker on the visible side is upright. I like the heavy duty look and feel of the cable sleeves.

Unlike the 400W variant of this unit, the primary PCI-e cable is non-modular. The fact that your buying a 600W means that 1 PCI-e cable is needed so they connected it for you. The modular cables are flat and take up very little space in the cable routing side of your chassis.

5 year warranty!

Cons: EPS cable too short for cable management in my case where the PSU is bottom mounted. An extension cable was required for me, and possibly for you too.

Other Thoughts: I own a 400W and 600W MK iii Silencer. They both come with chassis stickers!

My System (a work in progress)
MOBO: Asus P8Z77-V Pro
CPU: Intel i5-3570k
GPU: MSI TF GTX 660 OC
RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance
SSD: Samsung 830 128GB

Cooler: AC Freezer 13 (92mm fan version)
PSU: PC P&C Silencer MK III 600W
