2 out of 5 eggslow quality, falling apart with little use

Pros: Looks nice. Started falling apart right away, no wondering how long it would take.

Cons: have not used this much at all, and now the cables are starting to show thru each end. On the PC end, the protective boot that protects the cable were it goes into the usb body just broke, there is not cable sheath there and so the individual wires and insulation are exposed. On the ends that the devices connect to, wires were starting show through also, but I was able to pull them back in place and apply lots of super-glue inside the case. Unfortunately this will not help the cable going to the PC.

Other Thoughts: It was sold (and made?) by a company named INSTEN, remember that name when making your purchases at newegg, INSTEN, your source for things that will fall apart.

1 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for [P.O.S.]

Pros: Inexpensive.
Ports on wires mean more flexability

Cons: Poor manufacturing. The black sheath disconnected from the body on 4 of the 8 wires this thing has - which lead to a couple of them disconnecting from the body all together. They were not pulled out (unless you count gravity, as it was hanging from the back of a stationary, desktop computer).

Other Thoughts: I was happy with it... until I looked in back of the computer to see why the peripherals weren't working.

5 out of 5 eggscheapest option for ports/dollar

Pros: i actually do not need this yet and havent used it. but it works
great value

Cons: 2.0

Other Thoughts: so what i have is one of these and one of the tek republic TUH-300

the TUH-300 has 4 3.0 ports. Together that should cover all the usb needs you could ever need.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks and looks great.

Pros: Solid build. I thought the plastic section was more of a tough rubber when I ordered it, but it is still pretty tough, so I'm not worried about it. Plugged everything I wanted to in (filled about 5 or so of the 7 ports right off the bat), plugged it into my pc, and it was all working like a charm.

Cons: None, great product.

Other Thoughts: No more unplugging and plugging in usb receivers and devices because I don't have enough ports. One of my usb ports on my pc went out a year back, so it has been even worse. If you don't need 3.0, this thing is great.
