Other Thoughts: It did what it was supposed to. Did not have DVI function. I bought a Rosewill KVM swith later that had a DVI connector.

Pros: If you are looking for a switch that works with your wireless mouse and keyboard, get this one. I have been looking through dozens of these kvms and this had the best rating (even among more expensive models). Love the fact that when you boot the attached systems windows will sense a proper screen resolution and not revert back to 800x600.

Cons: None yet.

Pros: Works with my wireless usb mouse, and my wired usb keyboard.

Cons: Takes ~15 seconds for mouse and keyboard to activate once I switch to Windows 7. That feels like a very long time to me while I'm waiting.

Other Thoughts: I switch between win 2k and win 7. The switch to win 2k is quick; video, mouse and keyboard work immediately without delay. When switching to win 7 the video works immediately, but the mouse and keyboard take 15 seconds.
I have found no work-around for my issue on the web.

Pros: It does what is says. I'm setting up hardware firewalls on this thing and the connection and switching is flawless. The unit itself is solid and the cables are not proprietary, Startech costs more but it is worth it.

Cons: NONE!, buy this item!

Pros: Unit appears well built. Size and weight are nice.

Cons: Does not emulate keyboard and mouse. According to the instructions you must change the "halt on error" settings in your machine's BIOS to "all but keyboard". My machine doesn't have such a setting. As a result it won't even boot when this device is connected.

Other Thoughts: If you intend to order this make sure you're machine can support the relevant BIOS changes first. I ended up getting a IOGear GCS632U (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817107417&Tpk=gcs632u) instead and it works great and is cheaper than this device.

Pros: Update: The replacement works great. I like the design and the sturdy cables that come with the switch.

Cons: First one broke.

Other Thoughts: StarTech's RMA department is pretty responsive. Repair or replacement within 2 to 4 weeks. From the time you ship your product back to the time you receive the new one. I would buy another StarTech product in the future.

Pros: Great Case Design, very sturdy, nice cable management, nice easy to read lights on the front. Extra 5v power cord to help power KVM if your on board computer USB voltage is not high enough to support the switch on its own.

Cons: After 2 months of use I think it is broken. My mouse studders and the keyboard will belt out long strings of text on occasion. Example: iiiiiiiii or zzzzzzzzz. But the mouse studdering is awful and makes the computer unusable at times. The only fix is to unplug the kvm and plug my keyboard and mouse directly into the computer. I'm hoping I can get it fixed since this really feels like a well built unit.

Other Thoughts: I am going to RMA it and see if I can get mine fixed or replaced. Hopefully fixed since I like keeping the original equipment if I can.

Pros: This switch was a little higher in price than the ones I previously used, but you get what you pay for. This thing worked out of the box, no problems, and I can use my Logitech wireless mouse. I'm about to go pick up a wireless keyboard since the mouse works so well. I could care less about the beeping noise when switching from one PC to the other, this switch is worth every penny.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: For anyone looking to use a wireless mouse/keyboard, this switch is the answer. I use this switch to operate a Win 7, 64-bit system and a Windows Small Business Server 2003. My Logitech wireless mouse works great-I have no idea if any other type of wireless mouse or keyboard would work, I'm just happy I found a switch that would work with what I had-especially since so many people had told me I was out of luck if I wanted to use a wireless mouse and keyboard with a switch.

Pros: Great. Its awesome that it comes with all the cables. I wish I would have bought more of them.

Cons: Not a thing.
