Cons: Would not work with Linkskey cables! Company will only provide support if you are using their cables. Overpriced in comparision to other available options. Also, cables are much more expensive than other available options. Other Thoughts: There was nothing specifically wrong with the switch beyond the inability to mix providers for switch/cables. Dr A. 10/2/2008 9:39:00 AM Ownership: 1/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 2/5StarTech SV831DUSB This review is from: StarTech SV831DUSB 8 Port 1U Rack Mount USB PS/2 KVM Switch with OSD Pros: Apparently good build quality Cons: * Failed to work with an HP/Compaq XP system * Appeared not to pass DPMS fully: monitor light green. * Hotkey (fixed) is L-ctrl pressed twice within 2 seconds. You don't have to be an emacs user to find this problematic. In 2 seconds, you might be deciding what to do and press ctrl again. Further, keypresses are still forwarded while in OSD. This is a very odd and poor design, contrasting with designs using scrl-lock twice, which is both uncommon and the second press cancels the first. * Turning off hotkey didn't work reliably For a full set of cables, this costs nearly $500.
