3 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: *Sturdy casing
*Commercial-type design, high amperage; be careful!
*Small, compact
* Quick shipping, came from Edison, NJ - arrived in a day to SJ.
*Comes with a terminal block, you'll need a techie/precision screw driver.
*Runs in cold weather - coldest so far was at around 25F

Cons: *A little pricey, paid $48.
*Instruction manual is sparse. You'll need a multimeter to get any real information.
*No extra terminal blocks, could probably find one on Jameco or Newegg.

Other Thoughts: I got this to put in an empty slot in my truck's dash, little bit smaller than a standard car stereo slot. It's small, doesn't take up all the space. So I used some Velcro strips to keep it in place. Can remove easily and use with a wall adapter for working in the field... transferring data quickly between devices, and charging at a high rate. If this came with a wall adapter and an extra terminal block, this would be well worth the $48.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Excellent Rugged hub.

Pros: Mountable to wall, etc.
Very sturdy construction.
7 to 24 VDC external power.
Metal case.
No issues on Win8.1 or Apple Mavericks.

Cons: None noted.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this hub to connect my SignaLink, Yaesu FT-950, Panadapter Dongle, and Flexradio Flex-1500. The hub is not affected by station RF. Very glad I purchased this and wish I'd have gotten the 7 port one. You'll be happy with it. StarTech outdid themselves on this one.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Awesome

Pros: Very strong build, great mounting, 12v, awesome performance.

Cons: None. I've never said this before about a product!

Other Thoughts: I used this for a car PC application (this are 12V input remember) and they knocked it out of the park. 1/4 the price of what the auto custom shop in town was using for our local Cop Car PC usb hubs. He told me he was going to start using this product instead of his current brand with our local cop cars.

5 out of 5 eggsGood and Stable

Pros: I am currently using these in several setups utilizing all 4 ports all the time. Have not had any issues. Wide range for input power.

Cons: Had to take off the side plate to mount in tight space, leaving the circuit board exposed.

Other Thoughts: I am still buying these to put in new setups.
