Pros: No pros to mention because the unit doesn't work properly in the first place.

Cons: The unit will not retain 2560x1600 when switching. It will operate at high resolutions only when that display is selected, but the second you switch over to another display the resolution is dropped... thus resizing your display and in several cases crashing the openGL renderer of 3D applications.

Other Thoughts: This was my second StarTech KVM device and both of them I've had to return for failure. I'll never buy this brand again. Ever.

Pros: Actually works as expected at 2560x1600 on a Dell 3007WFP. Lots of features such as being able to lock audio and USB devices on a particular computer.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Old Dell 3007 can be kind of problematic due to it's lack of scalability and only 2560x1600 dual-link or 1280x800 single-link DVI. A couple of years ago I purchased a two port KVM by B____N that supposedly worked at 2560x1600 but produced sparkles all over the monitor in 3D mode.

Pros: Worked great right out of the box on 2560 x 1600 on a 30 inch Samsung monitor. Fast response and flawless switching

Cons: Does not come with cables
