Come with all cables necessary to run even includes a travel pouch. eSATA speed are quite noticeable over USB. Good construction. The aluminum feels strong able to withstand some beatings. No screw issues as mentioned below. Case gets warm with the drive meaning plenty of heat dissipation. Cons: No power with eSATA cable. requires another USB port to power the device. minor in my case since most of my computers have over 3 USBs. Other Thoughts: Never know when you need an enclosure. I am going to get another one for a 3.5. Just wish I coughed up more for some of the 2.5 and 3.5 hybrid enclosures. Knocked off an egg because I only owned it for less than a day. The enclosure feels solid I can't flex the case with the drive enclosed. This enclosure comes with all the cables that are needed. You get 3 cables, an eSATA 3 foot, an USB-A to USB mini-B, and an USB-A to power for eSATA operation. There is a soft vinyl? slipcase that will store the drive and all the cables. Setup is simple remove the plastic end connector from the enclosure, attach the drive to the end connector, reinsert the drive and connector into the enclosure body and tighten the screws with the included screwdriver. Two LEDs show drive operation, green LED shows that the device is powered on, red LED shows when it is writing data. Cons: A bit pricey, especially when including the shipping. eSATA not including data and power in one cable is really a shame; I know is a specification issue but makes connecting eSATA devices a pain. On the go I'll tend to just grab just the USB mini-B cable as the enclosure runs fine, though noticeably slower on USB. Other Thoughts: The silver version of this sells for a couple dollars cheaper, searching Newegg for SAT2510U2E should turn it up. Cons: The screws that hold the unit together are way too tiny and strip out very easy. They do give you four when only two is needed but I think the screw holes are not threaded properly. I even thried the 1/4 back back turn before going clockwise and the screws still stripped. Thses units should be plulled from the store shelf. Did you find this review helpful?
