Pros: Works as it should! I use it with expensive ham radio gear, and it has worked flawlessly. Thanks for a great product.

Cons: None that I have come across in nearly a year.

Pros: Compact size with well built outer case.
USB connections are tight and have additional connection support.
Can wire directly from DC power source.

Cons: None yet. I've been using a month now with no problems.

Other Thoughts: I use this for my astrophotography set-up. Prior to using, I would have issues with my various usb connections going to nonindustrial hubs. Since using I've had no issues while using a mix of USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 devices which also includes 2 sub to serial converters. I and quite pleased with this device.

5 out of 5 eggsFixed my hub problems.

Pros: I was able to securely mount this hub to the wall.

Cons: You have to find/and or purchase a separate 12v external power supply for this router. I used one I had lying around from an older external HDD. Snipped the connector off, checked polarity with a multimeter and inserted the wires into the small, green power plug StarTech supply with the hub.

Other Thoughts: I am an astrophotographer using a lot of computer gear connected to imaging equipment in an observatory setting. I was suffering stallouts on file readouts from a CCD camera attached to the telescope with a cheaper hub I was using. With this hub, those problems disappeared. More expensive than most hubs for sure, but money well spent for me!

Pros: -Solid Construction
-Plenty of ports
-Provides voltage protection/isolation per port
-Great Customer Service from StarTech

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This hub does not come with a power supply and the user provided supply wires in via bare wires to a removable terminal block on the hub, but it is a solid connection arrangement that also allows the end user to select the power they need for their application. I use this for an astrophotgraphy setup with multiple USB connected cameras, focuser, high end mount, etc. It is expensive gear and the StarTech hub protects it very well.
I can also comment on StarTech support. I emailed then twice and called them. They promptly answered my emails and an knowledgeable tech answered the phone. They helped me select a power supply to fit my needs...from another company!
