Spray Paint Makes it Pretty
- Pros: esata and usb together. worked with WDC 1000 GB. usb works haven't tested esata yet.
- Cons: As others have said the fit is tight, i broke the switch for the fan controller off. i didn't need it so i proceded without it but that definitely took the two eggs. i know i should have been more careful but its simply a design flaw. a couple mm in either direction could have prevented this.
- Other Thoughts: i got this for my girlfriend to use because she has an esata port on her laptop, so that hasn't been tested yet. the metal sides got spray painted red because silver was boring. i also popped the cooling fan out and plan on replacing it with one without a blue led
Nice Case
- Pros: Case has a nice appearance. It's usability is very good. Features were as listed. Works well as a backup drive. Installed a WD Western Digital Caviar GP WD5000AACS 500GB 5400 to 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM Item #: N82E16822136149. Cooling seems excellent air moving all over the place. Seems pretty decently made. No excessive noise.
- Cons: Installing the drive got somewhat interesting. It is designed so it just fits. Nice install but it is really close as the connector end of the drive. That led to a problem getting it back into the case. The SATA data connector would not clear a plug in a vertically mounted pc board adjacently mounted. Solved problem by unplugging the offending plug installing the drive and carefully putting the plug back. Small ding for that. The same SATA cable could use a little more breathing room as you assemble. The cover pushes down on it. Will be reopening it to verify that it is ok. Small ding #2. Operationally, it was seen just fine by XPHomeOEM. It partitioned quickly. Errored out repeatedly on trying to format. Tried multiple times and included the use of Paragon Partition Manager. Not sure what fixed it. I believe this is a common issue not just to this case but to others. Some suggest formatting in advance B4 install. Last issue, it works very well but seems a little slow. Drive slow???
- Other Thoughts: Overall seems like a decent case. If the wiring doesn't show any problems when I double check it I would buy the same thing again. Reason, its features and that crazy cooling. I can't get the SMART readings off the drive but it sure seems to move a lot of air.

You folks are great. Ordered the case, I think it was late Thurs and had it Mon afternoon. The drive for it I ordered Weds and had it, would you believe, Thurs. I know I am fortunate located not far from your warehouse but that was really quick. Keep up the good work.
Not Impressed
- Pros: Looks good, and I really like the rubber guides that are used to place the drive into the case, good solid fit.
- Cons: I received mine with a wire that was pulled out from the SATA power connection. Care must be taken when installing drive, very tight fit around fan switch inside case, be careful or you. will damage the switch. The instructions are useless, but the installation is straight forward.
- Other Thoughts: Might be able to give a higher rating, but never got to fire it up. Could have fixed myself I guess, but it was brand new, and I should not have had to. Not very good quality control. Will wait for replacement.
