1 out of 5 eggsRead the Reviews

Pros: The suction cut and 7 ports (Powered but that is another story)

Cons: This is a SUCtion USB Hub with an emphasis on the first 3 letters. I always read newegg reviews and got hasty and did not on this product. If you power it up with the AC adaptor it errors out in device manager. The price should have told me this. Suggest to find something elese

Other Thoughts: Disappointed from the reviews Newegg would even carrry a urdtay like this. Such a bummer. Live and learn

3 out of 5 eggsGood for low power USB devices

Pros: Its very small and compact and has 7 USB ports
Looks cool

**JUST DONT USE IT WITH THE POWER ADAPTER AS IT MIGHT BURN YOUR USB PORT**

Cons: The power adapter seems faulty. When i use this USB hub with the power adapter, my External USB 2.5" Hard drive will NOT receive enough power, the hard drive will just click, secondly one of the times i attempted to make it work, i plugged in the power adapter to it and my monitor flickered a bit when i tried to use my keyboard which was hooked up to this USB adapter trying to find a BIOS setting that might have been the culprit. Needless to say i wont ever plug it back into the power adapter EVER!!.

Other Thoughts: I have since bought an (American Power Conversion Corporation brand) APC USB 7 port powered hub with an AC adapter and hooked up my external hard drive and it worked immediatley!

I still use this X-Gene 7port hub but with NO power adapter hooked up to it. My keyboard, mouse, and USB TV tuner are hooked up to it and they all work great.

1 out of 5 eggsPowerless

Pros: Comes with a power adapter. Okay. Great hub if you don't need power. See cons.

Cons: Claims to be powered hub but when you plug in devices it still overpowers the USB port on the motherboard. . All trash (if you require power) because in spite of the power supplied to the hub that power doesn't get used by the devices.

Other Thoughts: What a rip! I tried this on three computers and I purchased four of these hubs

2 out of 5 eggsTotal Fail..

Pros: 7 Port's, Its got a suction cup that sticks to flat surfaces, and it costs less than a pack of smokes...

Cons: Took the hub out of the packaging and connected the supplied 5v. 3a. PSU and USB cable. Got 2 solid lights as expected (though the led labels are reversed - mentioned previously). ~ 10 min. later Windows starts notifying me of an unknown USB device and no more AC power led. Tried multiple reboots and different host USB controllers. 6 of the 7 ports work bus powered but it won't power anything that requires full port power like a 2.5" USB hard drive enclosure.

Other Thoughts: The clear top cover over the LEDs can be taken off to show the reverse LED labels. While you can't switch the labels around, you could make your own or just black em' out with a sharpie...

5 out of 5 eggsI does suck - in a good way.

Pros: POWERED. Has 2 leds, one green and one blue. Green means it has a power only from the USB from the computers. Blue means powered by AC brick. So if you see a blue and green led on the top, you are good to go!.

Cons: There are some very specifc usb thumb drives that still need to be connected directly to the computer usb port(s) but that is rare.

Other Thoughts: Newegg kicks posterior!!! My location is in Rockville, MD and their wareshouse is in NJ. That equals 1 business day delivery - ground shipping. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsSUCKing Disk...

Pros: Works as intended. rubber disk on the bottom is very helpful for unplugging devices. Great looks.

Cons: Could have been better if it was an actual suction cup to cling on to vertical surfaces

Other Thoughts: What an excellent feature... SUCKing Disk gave my friends a good laugh.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: it works. AC-powered. somewhat compact for 7 ports

Cons: "SUCKing disc" requires assistance for vertical surfaces, but provides resistance for (un)plugging devices.
"AC/DC Power" and "Port LED" lights are reversed.

Other Thoughts: somewhat odd placements of ports, ports vary in construction. the one odd port is ceramic rather than plastic.
