Pros: Compact, comes with extra screws

Cons: Power switch broke withing 20 minutes. I set it up, turned it on (worked fine on my iMac) and ejected the drive, shut it off. The switch only toggles about halfway toward the On position - and it will not turn on. Something inside the switch is preventing it from working.

Very disappointing, to say the least.

Pros: 1. Works.
2. Both Sata and Pata (IDE) supported.
3. on/off switch.
4. cables not in use can be unplugged.
6. decent length on usb cable and power cable to hide well.
7. Worked with a 500gb and a 750gb IDE drive(s) -- ordered 2.

Cons: ok this isn't a con for me but it might be for some...
IF you have never put together an external enclosure or have very little experience with them, this one isn't the easiest to do. There are no instructions and you need to know your settings if you are doing IDE. This isn't a beginners enclosure but if you've done a few, look at other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: For an experienced user: you want your IDE drive jumper set to master (no slave) and not Cable select. Watch how the drive goes into the enclosure because it can go either way but the back only goes in one way. Lastly, use the long screws for the back (obviously but maybe that will help some one).

Pros: Bought two-both work good with IDE drives and win 7 pro 64 bit..

Cons: The drives have to be oriented just right to slide into the case.

Pros: Easy to connect HD

Cons: Stopped working after 1 month, will not power on, does not recognize hard drives that are known to be working. Either it's poorly constructed, or it needs some type of short protection.

Pros: Nice aluminum box.

Cons: This looks like an excellent idea for people like me who still own some old IDE HDDs and want to put them to some use. In my defense I ordered in the past other SYBA items and they all worked fine. Therefore I never had to deal with SYBA customer support before. First delivered item was a pre-owned and heavily used one. That was the first bad surprise. Newegg issued the RMA and they replaced it. Hence my one star for Newegg for doing their part right and keep their customers happy. The next one I was unable to make it work with any of my IDE HDDs. And yes, my HDDs are working fine, I did check the cables before usage, etc. The next interesting surprise was trying to contact SYBA customer support. Their website seems to be in need of a major update. My attempt to contact them apparently went through but needles to say you have a much better chance to get an answer back from a quija board that SYBA. Overall a major waste of time.

Other Thoughts: I usually find it very hard to post negative reviews, and this is the first one I post on Newegg, but this product totally deserve it. In case word will come from the world beyond and SYBA will communicate somehow with me I will update this review. Hmm, just in case I should probably buy a quija board.

Pros: Fast shipping. Everything in the box you need for setup, then some. Comes with an abundance of screws to securely place HDD in enclosure as well as many extra screws. Screwdriver was a nice touch. The casing stays cool even with hours of use. I use it for my Wii and yet to have problems with the setup.

Cons: None.

Pros: good price.
easy to use.

Cons: haven't used enough to perceive any.

Other Thoughts: I bought this item as an insurance against needing to access older IDE drives should the need arise. Sure enough my brother-in-law did something stupid with his computer and ended up needing to borrow it. Still haven't return it yet.

Pros: Looks nice enough.

Cons: Was dead on arrival. I can't even get the power light to come on. It's completely unresponsive.

I wanted to do an RMA, but they want it shipped to the opposite end of the country (literally, VA->CA) and I think I'll just get something else for my time/money instead.

Pros: Price. Aluminum construction. Supports both ATAPI and SATA.

Cons: Screws may eventually strip.

Pros: Inexpensive and works out of the box

Cons: Little frustrating to fit some of the older, fat IDE drives.
