Pros: From the parts of two enclosures I was able to get one unit to work. It appears to be working fine.

Cons: Bought two of these to for some old hard drives. With the first case, the SATA connector on the tiny PCB cracked and broke as soon as I plugged in the other side. On the other case the screws holes were stripped, the back panel way crooked and wouldn't sit properly. I was able to take the working parts from the two cases to make one working case, but either case alone, out of the box, is a brick.

Other Thoughts: One might consider a different enclosure unless you want to pay twice. Alternatively they could cut the price in half. Now I have to go look for something else since I needed two cases, not one.

Pros: received item and installed my hard drive, very easy and simple. plugged it in and recognized the hard drive right away. very simple fast and Durably built design

Cons: None so far i am very happy with this product and the price i spent

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this to friends and to who ever in in the need or search for this product or something close to it.

Pros: Was OK at first but then....

Cons: I bought 2 of these and during the 30 days return period their tests outcome were acceptable aveaging between 40 to 60 mb/s so I filled them with data and only to use them occasionally about 1 or 2 times a week for backup purpose. Now it is 3 months after and for some unknown reason their transfer speed came to a crawl. One with WD HD drop down to averaging 12mb/s while the other drop to only around 1 to 5mb/s. These enclosures are now became almost useless, I have to plug the HDs directly into my desktop whenever I need a much faster speed and the transfer speed between both HDs and desktop are still averaging frm 100 to 120mb/s, just as when they were first bought.

Both of my HD are brand new, same ages with these SYBA enclosures.

Using HDs:
[1] Hitachi GST Deskstar 7K3000 HDS723015BLA642 1.5TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s.
[2] WD Green WD20EZRX 2TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s.

My pc specs:
Mainboard: ASRock P67 Extreme4
BIOS: Ver. L3.19 [7-2-2013]
Total Memory: 8GB DIMM DDR3
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz [SECOND GENERATION]
Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Other Thoughts: These are the worst enclosure ever.

Pros: inexpensive, does support all drives, support USB 3 and 2, included everything to get it working.

Cons: None found after re-evaluating

Other Thoughts: Re-eval after more troubleshooting. Mods please delete my previous review as it is not the devices fault. Contacted support via email and there were of little help. But, they did respond quickly and professionally. I continued testing and trying to get this device to work over USB 3.0. On my Dell laptop there are two ports. I was plugging it into the port with the power symbol next to it. Apparently this port is not liked by many devices. This device being one of them. The device works great over my second port and on all USB 2.0 ports. The only reason I bought it though was the USB 3.0 support and it does work, just not on one that provides constant power from the laptop battery.

Pros: Well, it worked for a day.

Cons: Died the second day, after I posted a 4-egg review! Power and disc access lights remain solidly lit, but computer doesn't recognize drive. Fortunately, hard drive works fine in another interface.

Other Thoughts: Seems well constructed, but I've owned much flimsier enclosures that were (and remain) much more dependable.

Pros: Easy to mount the HD, no funky slide-in connectors but short cables instead. Slide-in rails to mount HD hold it well and might suffice, but supplied screws make it secure. Case goes together easily with 2 screws. Aluminum case is small and unobtrusive. Stand is only cheap plastic, but well designed and secure. And, most important, just plain worked when I plugged it in.

Cons: Power and disk access lights on the rear with the jacks and the power switch. The front is just a piece of black plastic, no lights. Unobtrusive, but it would be nice to see those lights from the front.

Other Thoughts: Have owned many external enclosures, this is one of the better ones, bare bones but goes together easily and works well.

Pros: Very Easy to use and install the drive. Comes with all screws, parts needed.

Cons: Will not see nay of my SATA 1 or 2 drives. I have three drives, 1TB, 500GB, and 250GB, It will not work with any of them.

Other Thoughts: I did install Windows 8.1 update. Perhaps that is what has caused the issue. Will not know as I did not have it when I have Windows 8. I may order a newer drive to see if it works still on the fence on whether to send back.

Other Thoughts: In the description it says that in only supports Windows, it also works on Mac (I'm using OS 10.8.5).
