The CS82U PS/2-USB KVM Switch is a desktop control unit that allows users to access two computers from a single KVM console (PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse, and VGA monitor). In addition, CS82U comes with ATEN's new Video DynaSync™ technology, which eliminates boot-up display problems and optimizes resolution.

Setup is fast and easy; simply plug cables into their appropriate ports. There is no software to configure, no installation routines, and no incompatibility problems. Since the CS82U intercepts keyboard input directly, it will work on multiple computing platforms.

5 out of 5 eggsATEN CS84U 4-Port PS/2-USB KVM Switch

Pros: I"m impressed with this switch. for the money it works well. I've used much more expensive KVM's that were no better. It comes with 4 cables, uses USB or PS2 connectors.

Cons: none at this time

Other Thoughts: I have it in a server closet on three servers and a work station. very hand tool

5 out of 5 eggsSuperior Product

Pros: Works perfectly with several combinations of PCs with different input setups.

Cons: Took a little effort to get the setup right for the different PCs hooked up to it but now works flawlessly.

Other Thoughts: Much better than the Linkskey items that I had used for years which would stop working and required removing and replacing all cable to get it working again..

5 out of 5 eggsthank you Aten

Pros: works perfectly. you have no idea how long ive waiting for one of these things. my new workplace for some reason had an old iogear ps2 switch which was a nightmare since most of the computers we get from our clients for repair have moved onto usb. no amount of ps2 to usb adapters solved the headache that that grandmas switch was. anyways i was worried at first because we've never purchased kvms made by aten before only iogear. later found out from an iogear rep i spoke to over the phone that aten is actually their parent company. so after a brief convo with an aten rep i made a decision on this and another dvi switch. the lag between switching is minuscule. 1 or 2 seconds which is normal for any kvm that ive used in the past. setup was pie. none of that doa stuff just plugged up the cords that it came with and i was rockin within minutes. i use a normal wired usb keyboard and mouse. i havent tried any other and most likely wont since standard is all i need to repair all the units that we get at our shop. it still has ps2 connects on it as well which is nice just in case i get my grandmas computer to fix.

Cons: doesnt have a power cord? this is a "non powered" switched meaning it gets it power from the computer(s) that its plugged into. it not very clear (least not when i was purchasing) that a power cord is not included. i probably will purchase one in the future since i know there going to be that 1 desktop that doesn't power it on.
