5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Bought 2 of these. The one I bought last month works perfectly. The one I bought 6 or 7 years ago is still going just as strong as the new one.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsLifetime Warranty, not 3 years

Pros: all cyberpower usb hubs have a lifetime warranty not the three years as stated by newegg. my 4 port has hit the floor more than a couple of times since 07/08 when i got it. not only is it still working but the local search and rescue guys occasionally use the blue beacon/searchlight on the front of the unit to find their way home.
i am ordering another 4 port in a few.

Cons: ex-con, but that's personal

Other Thoughts: i like Women, Music and Women... in that order

4 out of 5 eggsOwn 2, Both Work Great!

Pros: Works great! I have 2 of these and bought my first one 4 years ago and it has held up great. The external power is a nice addition.

Cons: Took an egg off for the brightness, these things can light up a room when they are in full use.

Other Thoughts: Overall good product, a little bright though

4 out of 5 eggsNice little USB extender

Pros: I used this between 2 long USB cables (without the power) to connect a remote drive to my PC. Worked great for about a year but I was vacuuming the carpet one day and must have zapped it because it just stopped working. So I ordered another one, plugged it in-line and I'm in business again.

Cons: The packaging is awful. It's the kind of non-eco friendly, land-fill stuffing plastic that will be around for 1000 years. I wonder how many people have sliced off their finger trying to cut into the blasted thing! Newegg should BAN any products that use this kind of packaging.

Other Thoughts: It's weird that it just stopped working one day, but I think I zapped it with the vacuum or something. Win7 would recognize it as an "Unknown device" and would not install a driver for it. Tried it on different PC with same result. A blue light comes on when it's plugged in, and a green light comes on when you plug a device into it. The broken one had the blue light but never a green light.

2 out of 5 eggsBe very careful with what you plug in.

Pros: Worked great for about a year and a half, no problems up until this point.

Cons: Went to go use my laptop this evening, nothing worked outside of my external hard drive (which is also plugged into the hub). Keyboard (Logitech Illuminated), Mouse (Logitech MX500) and Microphone (Audio Technica AT2020USB) did not work - unplugged from hub, tried to connect directly to computer, totally dead. Multiple computers, same issue - the hub essentially destroyed anything that was pulling power from it.

Other Thoughts: I am pretty unlucky, so I'm chalking it up to that (hence no 1 egg review)...but either way, this hub effectively cost me $200, so I personally wouldn't recommend it. Who knows. You may have better luck with it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I've had this little guy for a couple of years and have used it on both Windows XP and Mac OS "Leopard". I've have no trouble with it and plugged in mice, keyboards, flash drives, portable hard drives, a gamepad, and a Canon scanner. Works both powered and unpowered, making it a nice travel unit, too.

Cons: The uplink and power cord plug in the sides, next to the USB ports, which doesn't help with cord clutter. The power and uplink cords do NOT interfere with the USB ports, and the cord clutter is only a very minor con in my opinion, so I still grant it 5 stars.

Other Thoughts: The power supply is larger than the unit itself, but this unit is small and the power supply is not any larger than any other typical DC adapter.

2 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Worked well (when it worked), high transfer rates through my USB 2.0 flash drives. Looks relatively cool.

Cons: Poorly made. The thing has a sturdy case, but besides that it's awful. After 8 months of steady use it only appears as a usb 1 device and frequently disconnects itself, have tested this with different PC's and different electrical outlets, so it is definitely the hub.

Other Thoughts: Avoid. I bought this at walmart needing a USB2.0 hub asap, instead of ordering something decent from newegg. Don't make my mistake.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable USB Hub

Pros: 4-port powered USB hub. I bought one about 4 years ago, bought a second one this year (not to replace it). Apart from the bright LEDs, I have not had any issues. Because it is powered by an AC adapter, you'll never have any problems with USB devices not having enough power to connect.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsI'm a satisfied customer!

Pros: I bought mine more than two years ago and it's still going strong. The four green indicator lamps are very good indicators of connectivity. Both the USB cord and the power cord are long enough to reach every setup I have arranged. It is made of quality materials and has decent workmanship. Data transfer flows nicely without a hitch.

Cons: The blue lamp is bright, but it is small and easily covered with cardboard or something. I usually block the bright blue light (which stays illuminated as long as the unit is powered by either the USB bus or the included power supply).

Other Thoughts: Occasionally, I may lose connectivity to a device, but all I need do is to quickly unplug the USB cord to the affected device and plug it back in again. I never regret my choice about buying this thing and I highly recommend it.
