3 out of 5 eggsWorked for a while

Pros: Small, self powered, just the size I needed for a few more ports on my MacBook, worked fine for a while.

Cons: After a couple years was unreliable. Could get it working by jiggling the cable. After 3 years I am retiring this as it's basically useless. Maybe that's as much life as you can expect these days, but I'm so tired of replacing junk.

3 out of 5 eggsUSB Hub...

Pros: It's convenient. Works most of the time.

Cons: Doesn't work all of the time. I occasionally have to wiggle anything that is connected because it doesn't always stay connected properly.

Other Thoughts: If you aren't bothered by things randomly losing connection, this is fine. Otherwise, choose something else.

1 out of 5 eggsStar Tech

Pros: Has 4 ports, easy to carry.

Cons: This product died on me in little over a week. I'm not sure if it was just this one product or if others handle the same but I don't recommend this product to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Surface mounted port, its small and works fine on windows 7 64-bit XP and PS3

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I have bought about 6 of these and used them for mod jobs and the surface mount ports makes them easy to remove for my jobs

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for a laptop

Pros: It's small to carry, and extends any USB 2 ports out perfectly with no issue.

Cons: Would like to have a longer cable from the pc to the hub, but very minor issue.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat

Pros: works, reads everything just fine, I also have a d-link usb that doesn't read half my devices and cost much more, this one reads them all

Cons: every once in a while reads usb 2 as usb 1 on windows xp but most of times its ok and shows no errors, I thinks its a windows xp issue

5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: Very small, self powered, works with Keyspan USB to Serial converter, and MagicJack

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Nice to have with my laptop as I busted one of the usb ports on the computer and this does not take up any room and gives me extra ports.
