2 out of 5 eggsIOCell Network does not honer its rebate

Pros: Unit works.

Cons: Six months passed, still waiting for rebate. Sent several emails to qurey and not single response received.

Other Thoughts: Will think twice for their product due to its poor reputation on its rebate.

4 out of 5 eggswork, but watch for rebate date

Pros: it works, good transfer speed, seeing 60-90mbps

Cons: short usb3.0 cable, and rebate post mark period is 10 days from purchase date.

4 out of 5 eggsNetwork capable?

Pros: Price Construction

Cons: Power demands?

Other Thoughts: Just contacted their support and spoke with David. The website was absent of support and knowledge of this model to which he agreed. My issue was the inability to run my Seagate ST9500325AS through my Dlink Dir-655 USB SharePort utility. It would just click/beep. Appears there's not enough power throughput. Said it was likely to be my HD's issue.. & not the enclosure. Writer not real sure of that.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid build - faster USB!

Pros: Nice solid chunk of metal.
USB 3.0 For the win!

Cons: Makes me want USB 3.0 everywhere!
Uses a new USB 3.0 mini-USB connector - I don't have any spares!

Other Thoughts: Compared to other USB 2.5" external cases I've had (this is my fourth), this one is much more solidly constructed. Since my USB drives tend to end up bouncing around the bottom of my backpack, I appreciate how solid it is.

I put an Samsung Spinpoint M8-750GB drive in it.

HD Tune 2.55 gave the following:

Plugged into USB 2.0.:
Min 32.5 MB/s, max 34.4 MB/s, ave 33.4 MB/s
Access time: 25.0ms
Burst rate: 25.6 MB/s

Plugged into USB 3.0:
Min 41.5 MB/s, max 88.2 MB/s, ave 68.8 MB/s
Access time: 24.5ms
Burst rate: 149.4 MB/s

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Bought this a couple days ago to put my old ps3 hard drive in and it arrived here really quickly for the free shipping. It works great so far, very easy to set up and no problems at all. The USB 3.0 hookup is extremely fast and that's because I'm using a 5400 rpm hard drive! I'll be upgrading to a 7200 rpm hdd soon though. Oh and did I mention that the case itself looks really slick and sturdy. Would recommend to anyone looking for an external enclosure.

Cons: The included cable is short, not really too much of a con though.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I was expecting. :)

Pros: Cheap, good quality, easy to set up, small, and pretty. :)

Cons: USB 3.0 doesn't speed up the rate of transfer too much but that's what I expected seeing as I am using the USB 2.0 chord. :P

1 out of 5 eggsdoes anyone care about the speed?

Pros: ya ya ya ....we know it's small and the cable works

Cons: this is running at 30mbps ...is that lame or what? Doesn't anyone care about how fast this isn't? Isn't that the reason for going to 3.0?

5 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect!

Pros: - extremely small! (about 1cm longer than a standard 2,5" HDD)
- rock solid (thick alux case)
- the drive fits tight (perfect!)
- lightweight (although it mostly depends on the HDD you put inside)
- USB 3.0
- Blue activity LED
- Included cable feels rock solid too!

Cons: - Can't say it's a con, check my other thoughts ;-)

Other Thoughts: The USB 3.0 micro connector it's not as sturdy as it used to be the nowdays "oldie" USB 2.0 mini connector. This is the first device I use that it comes with that new micro connector, so I can't compare.
I think that maybe the problem it's not the actual connector but the included cable (not extremely flexible) that makes connection drop once a while (when u baaarely move it, extremely sensitive! xD )

5 out of 5 eggsVery good enclosure

Pros: Very sturdy solid enclosure. Hard drive is well secured in the enclosure with screws. Looks good on the desk. Have had other enclosures by Roseweil, Nippon Labs, and Vantec - this is my favorite. No need for external power w/2.5" drive enclosure

Cons: Cord is a little short. Bought it for myself, but my retiree Dad liked it so much he traded me his full-size external enclosure.

Other Thoughts: Get it - you will not be disappointed. I was able to receive it for introductory $9.99 with $10 rebate. Did not go through the rebate process though.
