Power packed to the core, the ABS SL series SL1050 1050W power supply is ideal for the ultra high end multi-GPU gaming system. It is SLI, CrossFire and Quad Core CPU ready, and will add real boost to your beast machine. This modular PSU is designed to deliver maximum power with minimum heat. Instead of a small fan on the back of the unit, there is a large 135mm fan on the bottom, and the back panel is a minimally obstructive hexagonal mesh interrupted only by the power connector and switch.

The modular design makes cable management easier. The main power cables are permanently attached while all of the peripheral cables all plug into the back of the PSU. The cables are all wrapped in mesh for a cleaner installation.

Single +12V rail ensures a strong power output for your system no matter what the load. Six 6P and 6+2P (8P) PCI-E connectors is featured for PCI Express 2.0 graphic cards. Ready for the future, the SL1050 features 12P sockets for possibly upcoming new CPU's and graphics with 10 or 12Pin connectors. With its 80 PLUS SILVER Certification, less energy is wasted as heat or interference, delivering more power to your hungry system!

  • newegg ATX12V and EPS12V Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V v2.92 standards, the ABS SL series SL1050 power supply provides maximum stable power to drive the processors as well as other components for desktop and even sever computer systems.
  • newegg 1050W Maximum Power The ABS SL series SL1050 power supply provides a maximum power of 1050W to deliver safe, reliable output for high-end computer systems. A strong +12V single rail ensures the maximum provision of 12V power to energy-hungry components such as CPU and VGA card, minimizing the likelihood of overload shut down.
  • newegg 80 PLUS SILVER Certified The 80 PLUS SILVER certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 85% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
  • newegg Cool Performance and Silent Operation A large 135mm fan creates heavy duty airflow to draw heat away from the power supply enclosure while an intelligent fan speed controller automatically adjusts the fan speed according to the system temperature for minimized operation noise.
  • newegg Modular Cable Design The modular cable design allows use of only the cables you need resulting in improved internal airflow and reduced system clutter.
  • newegg Future Ready The ABS SL series SL1050 power supply features 12-pin modular connectors, presenting endless combinations and possibilities for future CPU and graphic needs.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't ask for much more

Pros: I love the modular cabling - makes for a MUCH cleaner case. Very quiet fan. Powers my SLI rig without so much as a bump in the road.

Cons: It's pricey, but for what you get, worth it. Also as one can imagine, it'll add some weight to your case.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat supply with excellent price

Pros: Does what it says. No problems out of the box. Powers my 3x GTX 480's in triple SLI, 2 custom water cooling loops, 2 SSD's, 2 Velociraptors, 1 Bluray drive, 10 Fans, and 2 dual cold cathode kits with ease.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: They could have made the cable sleeving go all the way to the end of the cable, but they fall short about 2 inches. I sleeved them myself at the end anyway, but it would have been nice if it was already done. Just a thought though, not really an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

Pros: So far so good, as others have stated, the cables are extremely stiff. It has the ability to hook into your motherboard so you can monitor the fan speed of the powersupply.

Cons: HUGE

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, perfect power

Pros: Single rail, tons of power, and modular!! what else can you want for a high power computer?
I run 2 water pumps in my system, and it keeps them running on max

Cons: Not enough molex... I use alot of molex because i use watercooling, would like to have more...

Other Thoughts: Fan controller is kinda cool, just plug it in to a fan controller on the mobo, and it speeds up when the mobo starts getting warm

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME

Pros: 1050 watts of goodness! i dont even use half of it lol, i only have 1 gtx275 and a 9600gt and an i7. though i got this for the upcoming fermi based cards. someone mentioned stiff cables.... stiff cables means thick wires, thick wires means great electrical flow == GOOD. its also very quiet, and has a 3 pin fan adapter to attach to you mobo to control fan speed. modular design is great, im glad the mobo 24 pin is not modular though.

Cons: havnt found one yet.

Other Thoughts: this psu should suffice for most tri sli needs, going quad will require more probably. hopefully, it will be able to handle two gtx380's (if thats what there called) with a gt240 as a physx card, and a 3.8-4.0ghz i7. it should have no problem, that im confident in.

5 out of 5 eggsABS SL series SL1050

Pros: Modular design
Plenty of power for high end machines
High Quality
Great support and service (both from ABS and Newegg)

Cons: First power supply went out after six weeks. "This is an electrical part and they do go bad sometimes" I am not taking any points away because ABS instructed Newegg to replace promptly. Excellent customer service after the sale made up for the hassle of returning.

In case you are wondering, I do have all my systems on a UPS. The failure was not caused by an electric spike, etc.

Other Thoughts: This is the first time I have returned anything from Newegg. I order the majority of products from Newegg because of the fast delivery.

Now I know Newegg customer service is also noteworthy. Thanks ABS and Newegg for your excellent customer service.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Unit

Pros: Beautiful to look at, high quality...comes with a burn-in test sheet from ABS...80+ Silver puts out 1040 out of 1050 watts, 87A on the 12+....cant beat that.....This will power anything.

Cons: Not really a con, but check to make sure your electrical in the house is up to date....this unit requires a 115-250v socket with a 20A/250V fuse.....If you live in an older built house, most will have 110v sockets with a 15A Fuse.......I had to pay an electrician to have the proper juice.....my fault for not checking..lol

Other Thoughts: Get this power supply...unmatched quality and power.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Got it as part of a deal with a $50 printer, and a promo code that took 15% off the list price. Modular design, sleeved cables, 1050W, single 12-V with 87 Amps.

Actually a semi-modular design, as the ATX 12V, motherboard power, and 6-pin and 6+2-pin PCI-E connectors are built into the power supply. Additional PCI-E connectors, SATA power, and Molex power cables are all modular.

Has 2 additional 6-pin and 2 additional 6+2-pin PCI-E power cables for Tri-SLI or Crossfire with high-end cards.

Plenty of SATA and power cables for any number of peripherals and hardware you would possibly want to add to a single machine.

Bright blue LED when machine is on, matching my fan and case lights.

Cons: Cables are a bit stiff.

On a case that opens to the right and has a bottom-mounted power supply form factor (my Antec 900 for example), the modular power ports are towards the inside of the machine, so it is more difficult to add new cables without removing the power supply first.

Strange orange light when my computer is turned off. LED lights that turn on to indicate a machine is OFF are a personal pet peeve of mine, but its not very bright or annoying.

Other Thoughts: Powering these specs:
Core i7 965
ASUS P6T
3x2GB OCZ Platinum DDR3-1600 RAM
2x BFG Geforce GTX 280 SLI
MSI 9600 GT Green Edition (secondary card/PhysX)
Sony Optiarc DVD Burner
2x500GB Seagate HDs in RAID 0
Antec 900 with 4 case fans
