The Tagan BZ (Below Zero) 1300-watt high performance power supply is an outstanding marriage of power and innovation. Certified by ABS Gaming Lab, these PSUs come with the industry's first six independent rails for optimum DC output. A "Turbo" mode combines the six +12 rails into a single rail for uninterrupted stability. Patented "Pipe" connectors ease installation and cable management. Tagan Silent Control Technology (TSCT) allows the unit to perform normal operations under 25dB. The Tagan BZ series PSUs are designed for extreme gamers looking for ultra performance, stability and aesthetic design. The anti-scratch black coating, an over voltage and over current protection, and a unique ground wire with gold pin to release electricity to avoid damage. The BZ1300 will outlast and outperform any other PSU in its class today.

The BZ1300 is tested to achieve over 80% efficiency. Its two 6-pin PCI-E 2.0 connectors, two 6+2pin PCI-E 2.0 connectors, 7 x Molex connectors and 12 x SATA connectors provides for more than enough output for any current configurations with enough to spare for future builds. Warning DO NOT BUY!

Tech Level Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: It might work.
Cons: Tagan went out of business back in May! Being that my unit was just over a year old (still under ABS's 3 year) I contacted them for an RMA. They stated that they could not help me since Tagan is gone and if I wanted to RMA it, I needed to do it through a company called Topower. When I FINALLY got a hold of Topower, they told me I can't get a warranty replacement because it is past their own 1 year warranty. On top of that, Topower is ONLY doing RMA's for Tagan until December 2009! So if you were to buy one now, you're barely going to get 5 months of warranty! There's more, the only way to try to RMA ANYTHING with this company is to download an RMA *.pdf file and then fill it out and send it via fax and then you need to wait 24 hours for a reply fax (if you even get one)!
Other Thoughts: If you value your warranty at all DO NOT GET THIS! Chances are if you get a bad unit, you are going to end up out of luck like I was! I hate writing negative reviews but, everyone should be aware of this before ordering one of these. My faith of ABS or any of it's “partner” companies is shattered now I lost quite a lot of money for I unit I should have had replaced under warranty. I'm not interested in any more excuses, I got my replacement Antec TP series with a 5 year on it. At least they do their own RMAs and should be around in 5 years to handle them!

Pros: I originally bought the ABS Tagan ITZ 1100W it is no longer sold on newegg, it ran very good with my rampage formula and q6600 at 3.8ghz with two 4870x2 in crossfire for the longest time
Cons: recently upgraded to a rampage 2 extreme and corei7 920 at 4.0ghz with a pair of gtx295 in sli and the 1100W PSU blew, it litterly blew after 3days with the new build, funny thing was it blew while i was surfing the net never during gaming and bench marking
Other Thoughts: I ordered this ABS BZ 1300W PSU with a 1yr warranty from newegg because everytime i call abs and there is like three numbers, the website list one number and on the negative feedbacks they list another, and one of the their service reps gave me the number to a company called tough power? isnt that thermaltake? well im still waiting on this RMA info from them which i think is a joke, by the way the new PSU is running as we speak im affraid will typing this that it'll go out just because im surfing the net......

Pros: The power on this is awesome 1300 watt is just pretty. The size on this is not as big as I thought it would be, My friend has a 1000watt and its so long it sticks out of his case, this one is a nice size about like a 500 watt. The modular cables are really nice and screw on which is nice because I have seen ones that just pop on and they like to fall out.
Cons: the Original price... see other thoughts
Other Thoughts: Original price was $500 but I got it on sale for $300 woot!
