Power packed to the core, the ABS Dark Beret series DB1000-M-BRZ 1000W power supply is ideal for the ultra high end multi-GPU gaming system. It is SLI, CrossFire and Quad Core CPU ready, and will add real boost to your beast machine. This modular PSU is designed to deliver maximum power with minimum heat. Instead of a small fan on the back of the unit, there is a large 135mm fan on the bottom, and the back panel is a minimally obstructive hexagonal mesh interrupted only by the power connector and switch.
The modular design makes cable management easier. The main power cables are permanently attached while all of the peripheral cables all plug into the back of the PSU. The cables are all wrapped in mesh for a cleaner installation.
Single +12V rail ensures a strong power output for your system no matter what the load. Four 6P and 6+2P (8P) PCI-E connectors is featured for PCI Express 2.0 graphic cards. With its 80 PLUS BRONZE Certification, less energy is wasted as heat or interference, delivering more power to your hungry system!

Pros: Installed easily into my new Antec mini p180. Reflective finish somewhat matches the case, which is cool.
Cons: Fingerprint smudges
Other Thoughts: Took a slight risk in ordering psu when it was heavily marked down for a gpu/psu combo. Checked the 80+ website before I ordered, and it seemed to provide pretty good numbers. I've had it for roughly a month and there have been no hiccups with my relatively simple i7 system. Then again, I won't really be pushing it for a few more months.

Pros: Handles my Phenom II 920 OC'd to 3.6, crossfire 1gb HD 4850's and 3 sata II hdd's with ease with enough overhead left for future upgrades ,Has all the connectors you can ask for. I Picked it up for 169.99
Cons: maybe I bought more than I need-guess its not really a con if I upgrade later
Other Thoughts: If You have or are going to build a SLI or crossfire system buy this!

Pros: Thinking of getting another 1000W power-supply? Perhaps the highly rated one with more reviews? Never heard of this one before so your a little hesitant?
Let me wipe your fears away!
It has one 12V rail. One = better...if you don't believe me then look into the subject online. One rail is more stable for handing out your comps power needs. More does not always mean better. 2 rails are still fine, but seeing as I am listing advantages over a higher priced competitor...
It has a great black/silver mirror like finish that will fit it with any computer color scheme. No tacky logo print on the side or anything.
Sucks cold air in from the top or bottom...depending on how you have it mounted, with a 140mm fan that blows heat out the back mesh of your case.
80 Plus bronze certified...which means for those who don't know, that it is more power efficient, using only the power it needs and not a lot of it going to waste as heat generation.
Cons: I almost missed out on buying this because so little was known about it and there were not a lot of reviews out there.
Other Thoughts: Has flat modular cables....good for saving space and keeping air flow unrestricted in your case. The main cables are fixed cables though...such as the mobo 24 pin, mobo 8 pin and the 6 and 8 pin gpu cables. Nicely sleeved though.
Got in on sale here for a killer price! $175 roughly. The price is going up it looks like, probably because the word is getting out that this diamond in the mud is under the shadow of its higher-priced, better reviewed, but no better, competition. Dark Beret...smart name for such a stealthy and awesome piece of unknown market machinery!
