Power packed to the core, the ABS Dark Beret series DB1000-M-BRZ 1000W power supply is ideal for the ultra high end multi-GPU gaming system. It is SLI, CrossFire and Quad Core CPU ready, and will add real boost to your beast machine. This modular PSU is designed to deliver maximum power with minimum heat. Instead of a small fan on the back of the unit, there is a large 135mm fan on the bottom, and the back panel is a minimally obstructive hexagonal mesh interrupted only by the power connector and switch.

The modular design makes cable management easier. The main power cables are permanently attached while all of the peripheral cables all plug into the back of the PSU. The cables are all wrapped in mesh for a cleaner installation.

Single +12V rail ensures a strong power output for your system no matter what the load. Four 6P and 6+2P (8P) PCI-E connectors is featured for PCI Express 2.0 graphic cards. With its 80 PLUS BRONZE Certification, less energy is wasted as heat or interference, delivering more power to your hungry system!

  • newegg ATX12V and EPS12V Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V v2.92 standards, the ABS Dark Beret series DB1000-M-BRZ provides maximum power stability to drive the processors as well as other components for desktop and server computer systems.
  • newegg 1000W Continuous Power A continuous power of 1000W delivers safe, reliable output for high-end computer systems. A strong +12V single rail ensures the maximum provision of 12V power to energy-hungry components such as CPU and VGA card, minimizing the likelihood of overload shut down.
  • newegg 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified The 80 PLUS BRONZE certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 82% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
  • newegg Efficient Cooling A 135mm silent 2ball-bearing fan plus Hexflo honey comb cutouts increase overall airflow in the power supply enclosure and help remove heat from the chassis simultaneously.
  • newegg Six PCI-E Connectors With three 6-pin and three 6+2-pin PCI-E connectors, the ABS Dark Beret series DB1000-M-BRZ is ideal for building up a SLI or CrossFire gaming system.
  • newegg Modular Cable Design The modular cable design allows use of only the cables you need resulting in improved internal airflow and reduced system clutter.

5 out of 5 eggsMore Power

Pros: With my home built rig I decided it was time to make sure I had the power I needed. Looking at all the Power Supplies in this range I decided on this one. Very easy to set up and plug the wiring you need for what you have.
Have not had any issues with it at all. Running since 11-21-2010. On 24/7.

Cons: None

Pros: would of had some if it worked out of the box. first experience with abs products.

Cons: comming from abs i figured this would be one of the best 1kw psu's out there for the money. thought wrong. been building computers for 10years now

Other Thoughts: sent mines back in for a refund. waste of my time. , and just this year have had 4 items fail out of the box. 1st was a msi 890fx motherboard-caught fire on first boot, 2nd is this psu, 3rd&4th are 2 gtx460's from evga dead with in 24hours. all of these with in the last 2months. must be just like they say "they don't build em like they used too!"

5 out of 5 eggsDark Beret 1000 watts

Pros: Easy install. Love the Modular cables. The main bundle from the PSU, was no problem. All cables fixed to the PSU were the main power cable you must use to power your motherboard and sata drives. I like the bag for the extra cable you do not need. More than enough cable for what ever you want to power. Future Proof. Very quiet. Love this PSU. No Brainer. I payed $119.00 on sale. Perfect for me.

Cons: NONE.

Other Thoughts: You will not need another PSU. Plus where will you get this 80% 1000 watt PSU for under $179- $200 and this efficient. With all power connectors and modular? Beautiful cable bag and did I say quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat power supply

Pros: Blew an 800 watt 0c z psu but was pushing it. There was no reviews for this psu that had a similar hardware setup but I took a chance for 100 dollars. Running an i7 920 4.2 ghz 1.31 volts. And 2 gtx 480 in sli runs great system is stable. Cords are long and flat wich makes them easy to route in my case.

Cons: I water cool and built it for silence this psu is the loudest thing in my computer I am putting a huge load on when I game however its fine in normal operation

Other Thoughts: I would purchase again very good buy single 12 volt rail is more than enough for 2 gtx 480

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Got this back today from being Rma'd and i have to say im impressed with it. Its quite and it stays cool. I think i just got ahold of a lemon the first time.

Cons: finish on the outside scratches and gets smudges easily. and you have to mount it upside down.

Other Thoughts: This is kinda big for a mid tower but it will still fit. The cables are the right length but it takes a while to get it mounted cause of how big the actual box is.

1 out of 5 eggsBUYER BEWARE

Pros: Looks pretty. Cables come in a carrying case.

Cons: Destroyed one (brand new) motherboard and three hard disks, right out of the box. Refused to power up, has never worked. Everything was carefully installed, no shorts, no bad wiring, just the mainboard, CPU, and power supply. Nearly destroyed another motherboard as I plugged it in to an older system; it miraculously boots, but the hard drive attached to it (and all the data contained therein) is history. Now, Newegg makes me pay my own shipping labels, what's up with that?

Other Thoughts: It says that it has passed QC test. Where?! I've built dozens upon dozens of systems and have *never* encountered such a spectacular failure.

Pros: Well...if it worked the 1000w would have been great

Cons: I recieved it broken. It was correctly installed and when the machine would start to power up it would simply work for about 2seconds and then shutoff.

Bought 1day shipping recieved it as defective and had to pay $15 to ship it back broken and have to wait another 5-8 buisness days till i can either get word that theyll return me a new one or if im stuck with that one.

Other Thoughts: RMA'd it and im still waiting on a reply its been about 5 days

5 out of 5 eggsDon't Hesitate

Pros: I had a problem trying to run demanding programs on my 850w thermaltake, computer kept shutting down on me running a q9450@3.4ghz, 2x4870x2, Blue-ray, and 8gb of ram in my haf-x. This thing has survived 3 blackouts and 4 overclock configurations and no problems yet, it's cool quiet and does what it needs to do. And the best thing it wasn't DoA when it arrived.

Cons: Waited too long to get one.

Other Thoughts: Don't Hesitate to get what you need at the price you want it at. I got a sweet deal with this one 139.99 with free shipping a few months ago.
