2 out of 5 eggsWorked Great Until Failure

Pros: This power supply was exactly the right size for the case I had, and the wattage was definitely adequate for the machine I put together. Worked well for a few months, then started making very loud noises like a bearing went out.

Cons: I tried using the RMA Request and the Contact Support forms on the Diablotek website, and both redirect back to the Diablotek homepage with no indication of success or failure. I then found the email address and got no response. This was Nov 9th. On Nov 24th, I hunted down "" and emailed them as well, letting them know the issues I had, and that I'd received no response. On Dec 1st, I emailed again asking what I could do to expedite. No word. Today I've emailed again in the vain hope that perhaps something will move forward.

Other Thoughts: I've had great success with DiabloTek products in the past (loved every one I've owned), but never had to deal with their support, and I'm really questioning whether they'll be worth any amount of hassle in the future, and will definitely be recommending to all my clients that they stay away from DiabloTek if they accept that products can and do fail.

3 out of 5 eggsOk PSU

Pros: It powers the computer well. Ok ventilation.

Cons: Makes high-pitch noise when the computer is turned off, have to disconnect pc from power in order to make it stop.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this to a friend.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Attractive and cheap

Cons: Doesn't work at all. High electrical noise on 5 and 12V lines causes motherboards to reboot. I loaded it down with multiple hard drives in an attempt to quiet the noise. It made no difference.

Other Thoughts: 1. The public should drive diablotek out of business
2. Newegg should stop selling this company's products

4 out of 5 eggsVery good !

Pros: Well designed, looming protecting the wires, enough connectors for my small form factor computer. Enough power to feed my 150w graphic card and AMD A8 draining another 100w, plus accessories. Very nice.

Cons: Fan is a bit loud, and doesn't feel to suck that much warm air from the box when loading it...

1 out of 5 eggsCompany is not responding to RMA requests

Pros: While working, unit was efficient, quiet, and did an excellent job of drawing heat out of my system.

Cons: Unit died after 45 days. Company is not responding to RMA requests. Company had a complaint filed against the BBB for not responding to a separate RMA request that was closed three days ago due to non-response.

Other Thoughts: Avoid at all costs. Buy another brand.

3 out of 5 eggslasted ALMOST 3yrs

Pros: Nice looking, and small

Cons: Died 2 weeks before warranty expires. Diablotek is extremely difficult to get a RMA for... After calling them a dozen times over 3 weeks, they finally replaced it. However, the replacement power supply they sent me died after a week... I'm going with a Corsair CX430 now.

5 out of 5 eggsGood HTPC Power Supply

Pros: The power suppy has performed great so far. I am very impressed as to how quiet it is. Stays quiet even after a watching a couple of blu ray movies, and streaming from netflix over several hours. Case is a Silverstone Milo series ML03B.

Cons: Did not come with an full size adapter to mount in my case.

5 out of 5 eggsThis PSU is a trooper

Pros: Bought this PSU as apart of a budget/first build and I can't say I'm not completely satisfied. Some of the other parts I bought for this build have been giving me problems and I've disassembled/switched out and tested things more times that I can count, and this PSU hasn't hiccuped once despite all the fiddling in the >year I've owned it.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The computer this is running is only ~300W usage so I'm not sure how this handles closer to its max.

4 out of 5 eggsWorking for about a year so far

Pros: I am giving this PS 4 stars because the first one smoked and died on the first day. Newegg was great though and replaced it quickly. The replacement unit has been working for about a year without any problems.

As long as you get a good one, this is a good PS for the money. There aren't a lot of micro ATX supplies for sale and I needed one for my HTPC case where the original one died. This one is a good balance of cost and features and suits my needs.

Cons: As said, the first one died on the first day but newegg replaced it quickly and the replacement has been working for around 1 year.

4 out of 5 eggsNice PSU

Pros: Comes packaged nicely with cables pre-sleeved, along with mounting screws and a couple of small zip ties. Handles going into & coming out of sleep mode in Win7 quite nicely.

Cons: None, so far. Had a slight burning smell when first powered up.

Other Thoughts: It might not be suited for really small HTPC style cases, or very small proprietary PC cases. For smaller PC's - it really comes with more power connector tails than are needed. I ziptied mine off and stuffed them into an unused drive bay to keep them out of the way. This PSU is probably best used in a case that takes a full ATX motherboard, but could benefit from having the smaller format PSU (but you'd need to find an adapter plate for the back, as one is not supplied).
