5 out of 5 eggs500W Power supply with 1 pcie power

Pros: If you build a FM2 rig, using the onboard video card, it will do the job ! can even add a video card that needs external power from the 6 + 2 power provided.
Make sure what your rig needs.
Can't complain about it. Does the job I bought them for.
Every piece of hardware that you will add, will require more power. Keep that in mind.

Cons: If you are going to build a gaming rig with 2+ video cards, plus raid arrays, might not be the good choice

1 out of 5 eggsFaulty

Pros: It looked nice...

Cons: Didn't work, straight out of the box; a problem I have seen that a lot of other buyers have had. I can't explain how frustrated this made me. Just terrible.

1 out of 5 eggswhat was i thinking?

Pros: well it worked for a day!

Cons: i saw a great price for a 500w psu and grabbed it because this is my first time building a PC. I'm hitting myself for that one. This unit worked fine for a night and a morning. But when i left the PC on for a few hours and went out, i came back to it refusing to turn on and I'm a little concerned that it may have fried my motherboard as well.

1 out of 5 eggsTicking timebomb

Pros: Looks like a quality product.
Rubber vibration gasket is either a nice touch or a gimmick, I can't tell which is which at the moment.

Cons: My freshly assembled rig was still display the VGA start text when a pop and a burning smell put an end to it all. This is a giveaway unit with Northbridge video, a 45-watt CPU, and no expansion card. The power draw couldn't be more than one seventh of this power supply's advertised rating; and this thing exploded in less than two seconds!

Other Thoughts: I put an old but proven Cooler Master CPU, one with a lower advertised power rating, into the some place and the computer has been working fine since. No way will I buy Diablotek again.

I had this unit for 2 years before trying it. Big mistake!

5 out of 5 eggsGood 500 Power Supply!

Pros: Good power supply, runs within the voltage for my MB, no alerts from the utility program. Very quiet, whisper quiet! 5 eggs because for an economy PS, it has great features.

Cons: After over a year of quality service in 2 different computers, one fan stopped working. So having extra 80mm fans, I installed a new fan. The fan I installed was a little higher wattage, but is working fine. This fan is causing air movement noise. Annoying but tolerable.

Other Thoughts: I am surprised, at all the complaints. I have had several Diablotek PSs and all lasted over a year or even 2. When buying economy prices PSs I always buy 2 in case of one going out at an inopportune time. Of all the economy PSs, Diablotek is the best in my experience.

4 out of 5 eggsHave purchased 20+ and have been VERY Pleased

Pros: We are a small computer repair shop and routinely find ourselves replacing power supplies. I was an Antec snob for years but a lot of our customers couldn't justify paying $75+ for a power supply and I didn't want to sell a substandard repair. We saw the 3 year warranties on these and decided to take a chance. We've since bought several other orders and have been very pleased.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggspoor return policy

Pros: ran for 2 yrs 3 yr warrenty

Cons: Horrible return policy they will not send ups prepay to send back. And they want failed unit first. I can’t wait that long. Almost all other returns I had were sent to me first with a ups return. I’ve had allot over the yrs. building machines. I had to call 4 times to get an almost useless rma.

Other Thoughts: what can i say. electronics fail. in the computer industry its all about customer service. that should never fail.

1 out of 5 eggsNot so good.

Pros: There sadly aren't any pros for this item.

Cons: This power supply had worked with my computer for only one day. I had made a mistake in not reading the reviews first. It is highly recommended that you don't purchase this, unless you are wishing to waste $33, which I am sure no one would like to do.

1 out of 5 eggsWorks when it wants to, which is almost NEVER

Pros: It is CAPABLE of generating power...But then again so it a potato.

Cons: Doesn't always work, and when it does it's pretty loud and not very efficient and doesn't turn back on if you turn it off.
So obviously, I bought this because it was cheap, which was a terrible idea on my part, but I was cutting it pretty close to my budget. It's not that it's wattage wasn't high enough either, my PC only draws 275 watts when running games. This is just a BAD power supply, and comes dead or dying in the box. DO NOT BUY!

Other Thoughts: Send this back from where it came.

3 out of 5 eggsKind of alright

Pros: It was cheap, and it has worked great for the past 2 years. As far as the power supply itself goes, it's still fine.

Cons: After 2 years of pretty heavy use, one of the fans is on its last leg. It makes an awful sound and is probably going to fail soon.

Other Thoughts: Probably should've actually registered the product so it would be under warranty, but oh well.
