1 out of 5 eggsdead within a few days

Pros: cheap

Cons: died

Other Thoughts: This died after a few days, and I'm just going to recycle it rather than return it.

I was at the specified wattage limit, so the failure is partly my fault. However, when I Googled for diablotek reviews, I found some credible complaints about diablotek allegedly being deceptive about its specs, which would also be consistent with this failure.

I tried to use a flashlight to find a fuse inside, without breaking the warranty seal. I noticed a bunch of capacitors near the cable bundle were leaning noticably as the bundle pressed on them, and you could actually wiggle the caps by wiggling the cable from the outside. Looks like the fuse is soldered on, not in an internal socket nor panel socket. That's too much repair work (and shock hazard) for a PSU that I no longer trust. I can't afford to have a PC go down, and I can't afford to have the other risks that corner-cutting construction of a PSU can bring, like fire hazard.

Finally, it's strange for a power supply to say "UL" in big letters on the label and have that not mean UL safety certification. It appears that this PSU does not have UL certification, but surely diablotek realizes that putting "UL" on the label might be misleading.

I picked up a more reputable brand of PSU from the local computer store, since I was in a hurry to get the PC running again.

5 out of 5 eggs41amps on a single 12v rail!

Pros: Cheap: yes!
Enough power to run an 8-core CPU, 4 - 3.5"- HDD, and one GTX 660 SC: You bet your bunns it does!
Great product, cable sleeving is kinda cheesy, but its there, and the shrink wrapped ends are tight, so it's sufficient.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Buy it while it still has a $15 mail-in rebate. Makes this a real steal of a deal!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU For the price!

Pros: This PSU has everything i needed. Crossfire ready, and runs super quiet!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: The only thing that you have to keep in mind before getting this is that if you want to run Crossfire or SLI you might want a little more juice than what this puts out like a 700W PSU if you're trying to run the latest video cards. Im sure this PSU could do Crossfire just fine with new cards but get a higher wattage PSU just to be safe!

5 out of 5 eggsProblem Solved

Pros: Quiet, it works, sufficient connections, a lot of connections, steady power for what I have

Cons: Nothing so far, unless too many connections is a problem (component would be nice).

Other Thoughts: I normally don't write reviews so soon after purchasing anything, but I want to get this out of the way. I Just purchased this PSU and installed it in a computer that was having shutdown problems that I couldn't identify. Well since installing this PSU those shut downs have gone away, so I guess it was the old PSU causing the shutdowns. Maybe I'm lucky, but to tell the truth, this is the first PSU problem I have had in all the years of building computers (I only build for myself, friends, and family--not a busines or for profit--just for fun). I will be building another system soon with all the spare parts I purchased trying to swap out and test parts, (I was gonna do it anyway) and will probably buy this same PSU while the price is reduced. I am running about 7 case fans, an EVGA 9800 PCIe video card (with power plug), two DVDRW drive, one HDD 7500rpm 500GB (soon to be doubled), 16GB RAM, full tower case with a 'couple' of extra lights on it, AMD Phenom II X4, and MSI motherboard --altogether it requires, or will with another HDD and SLI videocard, at least 500 Watt PSU, as best I can tell.

5 out of 5 eggsNot too bad.

Pros: Nice amount of connections. Sleeved cables. Inexpensive. Nice large fan and it's not too loud.

Cons: Stiff cables. That's all I can think of right now

Other Thoughts: I hate it when people dismiss something out of hand because of price or name. I've been using this psu for almost a year now with no problems. It's on an older Gateway so it doesn't get stressed a lot. But it's been solid

4 out of 5 eggsGood and Cheap

Pros: Has tons of connections. huge fan is always a plus, and is decent price for 575w.

Cons: Had trouble fitting it into my case. would not slide back all the way. but this could be because of my case.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for 4 years

Pros: -Cheap Price
-Worked for a while
-Quiet at first

Cons: -Started getting noisy a year ago
-You will know when it dies (makes a loud popping noise, then shuts off your system)
-Heats up alot after a while

Other Thoughts: At first I thought it was my mobo that went out (and I'm grateful it isn't), but after hearing that sound and the fact that my PC can't turn on anymore, I am going to a quality brand.

For anyone that wants to skimp out on price, go with the more expensive ones, a popping noise inside your PC is never good

1 out of 5 eggs45 Days or Less!

Pros: Decent price, power rating, and lots of plugs for connecting stuff. Too bad it didn't last...

Cons: Failed completely within 45 days. Diablotek customer support is sketchy at best. Phone number on Diablotek's support page rings to Sparkle Computers or something like that. Ordered on 2/22, died on 4/14. Been trying to get a replacement through Diablotek since (Threw away original packaging). To date, still no RMA instructions, no replacement, and no refund. You may or may not get a person to answer the phone. I'm hitting about a 50% success rate.

Other Thoughts: Stay away! I could have had a really nice power supply for the price of this plus the overnighted replacement.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It was working fine.

When it died, it doesn't look like it took anything else with it

I learned my lesson!

Cons: Dead as of this evening!
Started sounding like there was an electrical arc, at first I thought a fan had caught a wire or something, Nope! It was this baby smoking up everything. I killed power to my rig and it doesn't look like anything else was damaged, but I won't be able to tell for sure until I get another PSU. I'm well past the replacement period (bought in November '11), and I don't want a do-over with this poor power supply. I'm just going to buy a good seasonic or something.

Take my advice and shell out an extra 40 bucks for a decent power supply, and if at all possible get the extended warranty. The PSU is the one thing that can take down EVERYTHING on your system with it, if nothing else got damaged on my rig I'll be thankful. Buy a good quality brand, don't waste your time or money with this junk!!!

Other Thoughts: I can see the capacitors bulging.

I'm not an enthusiast or anything, so I thought I could get by with a lower-end or average PSU. Don't make my mistake.

Don't ever skimp on a power supply, always buy a quality brand!
