Pros: Adds two trayless external hotswap bays and two USB 3.0 ports. Both hotswap bays can be used at the same time and if your motherboard supports it (you can enable it in the BIOS) the hotswap functionality.

This makes it wonderfully easy to create offline storage and backups. And if you use bitlocker, encrypted offline storage.

Cons: The first time I went to use the security key to lock the 3.5" bay door, it stripped the head of the lock. Some parts of the door and spring latch look and feel very cheap and it should be handled with care.

Other Thoughts: If I had a third USB 3.0 header, Id probably get another if and when this goes on sale. For its $60 price, I do wish it was made to last.

Pros: It holds and operates both a 2.5 and a 3.5 drive at the same time, from a single sata power source. It has a power switch included, as well as LEDs for both drive slots that show power and hdd usage, which makes it VERY easy to use. Included 3.0 USB are nice, but I've not been able to use mine as I don't have a spare header and these are mounted behind a door, so I use the ones built into my case. Would like to have been able to use as 2.0 USB, though, as it'd be great for a logitech unifier or similar wireless devices.

Cons: Latch feels a little flimsy when locking drives in place, but so far its worked faultlessly... so maybe it isn't a con?

Other Thoughts: I just tightened bolts (wouldn't take skru) using all the mounting points, and this little bugger feels quite solid and works like a charm. I just love that I can swap in either or both drive sizes simultaneously. It works great for back up drives, or checking drives on other computers, and also for drive cloning. This allows me to easily clone my OS/System and stick it in a drawer in case of later issues, plus keep backups safe from potential viruses. I lost a bunch of pictures and personal files to a dead hdd early in my pc history, and this helps me prevent major headaches and protects irreplaceable items.

Its simple, fairly attractive, installs easily, doesn't really interact with your system, (so it works well with intel and marvel controllers), and seems like a nearly perfect device. The only change I'd make is to make a little sturdier feeling latch and adding a separate power switch for each drive.

Pros: 1. Easy mount & Easy Connect (Did not even use instructions)
2. Makes cable management easier.
3. Black and not flashy
4. Uses one, (1), single, power cable for both drives.

Cons: 1. Not a huge fan of it's key, could probably jab something in there and unlock it without the key.

2.) Possible tight SSD fit (I had none with my 256gb Samsung 840 Pro)

Which came first? No idea, but I had no fitment issues.
Also as stated above it's not flashy like the Thermaltake version.
