4 out of 5 eggsStatic Free, Cheap and just right!

Pros: It's very inexpensive
Good quality plastic, Not too stiff not too bendy
It's a simple part that does the job well, not much to say really.

Cons: It's has not granted me instant joy. (JK)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Simple and cheap.

Look at the pictures of the Rosewill RX-C200P and the Bytecc Bracket-35225. They're all the same product just different brand names. Get the cheapest one. The only reason why the Rosewill is rated the highest is because of the people who chose that brand and their expectations (lower regular price = lower expectations).

Cons: The only cons are the bad reviewers. Read the description, it says it's made of plastic. Don't put plastic as a con when you knew that before you bought it.

Everyone apparently has the highest tech level but they buy a cheap product and complain about it being cheap.

Other Thoughts: Read the "bad reviews" before you buy. Most of them are complaining about things that they didn't bother to check before they purchased it. I have a standard case and drives with standard mounting holes. Everything fit perfectly, i didn't have to modify anything. Even if you have something oddball, it's made of plastic so it's not difficult to drill new holes or make them bigger if you need to (this should not be a con for a cheap plastic bracket).

You have to mount this in a drive bay with screws from the sides only. If your case has a location to bottom-mount a drive, this won't work there. Look at the pictures before you buy.

Look at the position of the drives in this bracket, they WILL be close together. Take your cables into consideration (fat connectors or 90° bend connectors).

2 out of 5 eggsadequate for some uses

Pros: Cheap. Can hold two drives. Screws included.

Cons: Plastic. The screws included to mount the bracket to your case are slightly different than screws which are typically used to mount a 3.5 inch hard drive to your case. Perhaps it would not be a good idea to remove and remount this bracket repeatedly due to wear on the plastic screw holes. The screw holes are not in exactly the same place relative to the bracket exterior or to where the SATA connection ends up, compared to a real 3.5 inch drive.

Other Thoughts: I was able to use this bracket in my Jetway ITX case, and in one bay of my Ultra microATX case, but it would not fit in the other three bays of the microATX case due to screwhole misalignment.

How hard can it be to make a bracket that aligns properly? Good grief.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Great way to pack two drives into one bay on a budget. Easy to install and all required screws are included.

Cons: Power and SATA connectors are difficult to attach due to the drives being stacked so close together. Possibly connectors could crack or separate under the pressure.

2 out of 5 eggsNot good to go

Pros: I was able to get it to work

Cons: The mounting holes where to narrow for my Case. I have a tool less case with mounting clips. To get the clip into the holes I had to drill out the holes a 32nd of an inch bigger. With that solved the adapter was a little tight going into the 3.5 slot. Not to bad at lest it's not going anywhere.

Other Thoughts: There are others out there for the same price I'll buy next time.

4 out of 5 eggsIs as advertised

Pros: Small device, easy to use, works exactly the way you would expect. I didnt notice it to be noisy at all.

Cons: None really - see below

Other Thoughts: This is a USB DVD drive, it is small, if you drop it, it will break. It uses to USB ports, one for the data connection and one for power. It would have been nice to have a separate power adapter, but no big deal. If you are not nice to the drive slot, it will break. No surprises.

2 out of 5 eggsNot impressed at all with this

Pros: * Cheap
* Lightweight

Cons: * Poor construction
* Thin plastic
* Holes don't line up in certain configurations

Other Thoughts: I've used a number of drive spacers in the past and based on the reviews and price, I thought I'd give this a try. In retrospect, I really wish I had stuck with IcyDock or something decent.

The design of this is about as cheap as you can get. Very thin plastic, and they provide machine screws to screw into unthreaded plastic. They should have been coarse threads to keep them from stripping out immediately.

I like my drive to be flush with the back of the carrier, and that's not possible with this without drilling some new holes.

Overall, this is a poorly made piece of plastic. I think a Gatorade bottle is thicker than this. If you're looking for the absolute cheapest solution, then this might be what you want. If you want a sturdy installation that you can move around a few times without destroying the carrier, look elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsbest bracket yet

Pros: Holds two SSDs, with space for airflow above and below. Has screw holes for a variety of configurations -- works with floppy bays, HDD bays, even some weird old 5.25" bay adapters. Sturdy but plastic, so you can flex it or drill new holes if needed.

Cons: Would be nice if you could move the SSDs forward or backward.
