Cons: Plastic feels a little weak but stands up well

Other Thoughts: Snug fit, slid in nice and easy.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Sturdy, lightweight

Cons: none that is the products fault.

it's big. I gotta take apart a lot of my system in order to install the two units I ordered. Other smaller products may have been the wiser choice.

Other Thoughts: Screw holes line up with my case but they're not threaded. Had to grab the DeWalt to thread 'em.

I could use zip ties to secure it otherwise. 3 big holes on the sides of the hdb-5250..

Pros: It is cheap and it fits nicely.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsNippon Labs HDB-5250 3.5" HDD Plastic Bracket Black Color

Pros: Works perfectly for its intended purpose. Best price on Newegg for this type of item at the time I purchased it.

Cons: Plastic feels flimsy and kinda cheap, but I knew it would not be the quality of a metal adapter when I purchased the product.

Other Thoughts: This product works great for putting a my 3.5 inch card reader into a 5.25 inch bay.

1 out of 5 eggsFind a better adapter

Pros: I finally got it to work but with much effort and not the best of results.

Cons: The mounting holes and the mounting screws are not in standard locations. If your case doesn't allow you "full range" of screw placement you'll have to do what I did and get a drill and drill through the plastic sides of this adapter to make it fit. Not only that but the package of screws included with the adapter are NOT standard thread screws. Don't try screwing them into your hard drive less you strip out the holes on the side of your expensive drive.

Other Thoughts: While I finally got it to work for me I had to invest time in marking and drilling out holes in the side of the adapter. I also had to buy more mounting screws as the ones included in the kit are worthless to me. Not only that but my Antec case uses quick-release slide bars for the 5.25" bays and even with the careful precision drilling I did, the sliders don't "click" into place quite as they should. There is still some play in the mounted drives. I would look for a different adapter if I had to do it again.

5 out of 5 eggsMounts Well

Pros: Strong enough to hold my BYTECC U2CR-318/Hub 52-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader ( Item#: N82E16820192021 ). Mounts well, not much else to say.

Cons: The build of it seems a big odd but doesn't affect installation of it or the device it holds.

Other Thoughts: Good stuff would buy again.
