5 out of 5 eggsAwesome! Great for the home server!

Pros: Easy to use, very solidly built! i bought this for my home media server and it worked perfect. I was able to cram 4 PATA drives into it for my headless media server and also crammed 3 SATA drives in the case as well!!

Cons: None!

5 out of 5 eggsBest design sold here

Pros: This is the only design I have found that makes 3 - 5.25 bays into 4 - 3.5 bays. Talk about efficiency. It is well built and fits in most cases whether they are cooler master or not.

Cons: As many have said the fan with the plastic clips are a concern of mine. I haven't replaced the fan myself but Jason A. on 1-4-2014 left a good review on how he replaced the fan. If you are looking for quick swapping of drives, this isn't for you. You need to take the module out to change out or add hard drives.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased 4 of these to date and would be happy to get more if needed. The first one I got was for a cooler master case but all others have been for other cases. I have taken the front face off (4 screws) of three of them to hide this module behind the vented case fronts. The case I left the front on I asked a friend to paint the silver front to match the custom paint on the case and it blends in well now. More drive space, more ventilation and a decent price.

5 out of 5 eggsWho thought this Baby up?

Pros: This Baby does what it says it can do and is well constructed... This is the second one for me (I have two boxes in need of more drive space)...

Cons: I ran out of sata ports on my Motherboard, so I needed a sata controller to plug into a PCIe 1x slot...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cage for some extra air flow.

Pros: I bought this cage because I have a Cooler Master Haf-X XL-ATX (Blue fan light edition) and 3 of the front slots I don't use so I wanted to put a fan in the place of them and this worked out GREAT. I don't have any hard drives in this cage, even though I could. I just use it for more air flow. I love that it has a filter on it. The price isn't that bad either. It was a great buy.

Cons: Only real issues I had with this, if I had to say anything, was that you have to completely take the front section apart if you want to really clean the filter off thoroughly. Also, it would be nice if the fan was a little easier to replace since it's held on with plastic push-pins that could break. With there was a way to use screws. Maybe you can and I missed that. (I talk about how to swap out the fan in the "Other thoughts")

Other Thoughts: I've been looking around and have not seen ANYONE that has changed the fan on this cage so I just did it myself and I hope this helps anyone that needs it. I got in a Corsair AF120mm fan and just replaced the fan it comes with. I lost the light of the old fan, but got a LOT of air flow now. There are 2 screws on on both sides of the case that holds on the front black cover. Then there are plastic push-pins that are holding on the fan. You push the middle of the pin out from the back side allowing you to pull out the whole pin and releasing the fan. You just do everything in revers and you have a new fan in your cage. JUST MAKE SURE you take your time on the plastic pins so that you don't brake them. Sorry I didn't take pictures or do a video to help anyone that needs it. I thought I should have when I finished since I have NEVER seen anyone that has posted how to replace the fan.

3 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: It has worked exactly as expected. The fan keeps it cool, it lets me fit more drives in my case.

Cons: It fits very tight in my case and is a MAJOR pain to pull it out when you need to swap a failed drive.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have a CoolerMaster Cosmos S and this cage is an exact replacement for the one that shipped with the case (same high quality). The only difference being that is has a black plastic cover on the front that holds a filter.

Cons: One of the four LED's on the fan was burnt out.

Other Thoughts: I wanted room to mount more drives as well as another spot to mount a front fan. Mine had all the correct holes to mount the hard drives. Also, the two side panels are meant to come off on it. This is the exact same design as in my case. The sides come off so you can mount the HD's and then put the side panels on and slide into the case. If you put this in your Cosmos S, you can keep this plastic cover on the front, just dont mount the three tray covers in their spots. Its is easy to take this cover off though and put your tray covers on as they are suppose to be. I didnt want the blue LED fan as my Cosmos S has red LED's on it, so I replaced the fan with a red one. its a little difficult to do, as you have to cut the front tabs off the other one, pull the fan off, sit screws in behind where the plastic tabs were, the SCREW DOWN WITH LOTS OF PRESSURE, till they go into place. Then just screw your new fan in nice and tight.

4 out of 5 eggsCage is great, LED not so much

Pros: I am using this cage for a FreeNas system. The cage holds my drives securely, quietly, and very cool. From a functional standpoint the cage is great.

Cons: The LED is way too bright. I looked into replacing the fan and I might in the future but for warranty sake I'll wait on it for now. I really didn't want an LED at all but the price of this cage vs others made it worth the trouble.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am satisfied with the product. I might look into replacing the fan or killing the LEDs later. If adding storage capacity cheaply is your goal then this is a great product.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for NAS Box

Pros: Low price, additional cooling, allows 4 3.5" drives or 8 2.5" drives in three 5.25 bays. Which makes it perfect for building a NAS without using a large case.

Cons: Drive failure will make removal of entire assembly to replace one drive.

Other Thoughts: There is a trade off low price for inconvenient replacement of drives but for my home NAS using 8 1.5TB 3.5" drives I find this acceptable.
