1 out of 5 eggsVery Low Quality

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Flimsy, no rails for drives to align the drives, making it very difficult to get them to line up with connectors. Drives are difficult to insert. Only one bay even worked, the lower bay wouldn't recognize that it had a drive inserted. I wish I could get the time back that I wasted on this useless product. Return shipping is almost as much as the drive housing itself.

Other Thoughts: The back of the housing is labeled HDD 0 and HDD 1. The inside of the housing has bays labeled HDD 1 and HDD 2. Which is which?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Rack!

Pros: I have used many of these to mount SDD's and they work great. Yes, you have to be careful that you don't break one of the doors off when you are ejuecting a disk drive, but remember that those doors are not crowbars. You cannot exert a lot of force on them. Further, don't leave them unlocked and flapping around when you are assembling your system. Exerting upware or doward force on a loose door is a good way to break one off.

Cons: I have seen a lot of comments that the screws don't fit. They don't fit a 3 1/2 inch disk drive bay very well, but they fit a 3 1/2 to 5 1/4 inch floppy drive adapter perfectly. You can use the screw holes on the sides or the bottom because they are identicaly to a floppy drive. Now I admit it would have been nice if the manufacturer had noted that in the documentation, but now you know.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't use these racks for conventional disk drives because I think they would probably get pretty warm. But for SDD's they work great.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes NOT work with SATA III SSDs

Pros: 1-SATA power. Made of aluminium.

Cons: Does not work with SATA III 6G SSDs!
I contact the manufactures website to query, and was e-mailed that it would support SATA III.
NOPE!

Other Thoughts: After installation, BIOS posted very slow (if all all), due to searching for drives. If I got past the BIOS psot, Windows 7 would not start!
I give up. This is the 4th mobile rack I've tried with SATA III SSDs. 2 of them I fried (SIIG), 1 didn't like it (Rosewill), and this one (much like SIIG).

5 out of 5 eggsVery useful

Pros: I love these devices. I build Asus 1u servers and the cheap ones do not have hot swap so I just jam a couple of these inside the case and have 4 drives. Make sure to use 9.5mm drives and these are limited in height.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsCheap and prone to break

Pros: Low priced.
Compact.
Have not had any electrical problems.

Cons: Cheap plastic door that flexes every time it's used and eventually snaps off.
Screw positioning made installation inconvenient.

Other Thoughts: I've had 30 of these in service for over a year. If the doors were solid, I could give it a four or a five. They _will_ eventually snap.

5 out of 5 eggsIt is great, I dont understand why people give bad review!

Pros: Very easy to install, as long as I have the tool free computer case!
Well made, for 20 bucks you get good quality!
It works perfectly for my hard drive!

Cons: Nothings yet!

Other Thoughts: If you like it, just give it five stars, if you dont buy the more expensive one, for this price, it is perfect

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fits two 2.5" hard drives in the space of a single 3.5" disk.
Aluminum for proper thermal conductivity.

Cons: Screw holes don't perfectly line up to where normal hard drive holes would be. I could just barely mount it with 2 screws, in opposite corners, in my Lian Li hard drive cage.

Bottom slot is larger than top slot. My hard drive vibrated like crazy in there. I had to shove a small bit of rubber padding under the front corners of the hard drive.

Other Thoughts: With a slow ventilation fan pointing right at it, my WD Blacks run at 34C. This is a pretty good hard drive temperature, according to the Google server farm statistics that compared hard drive temperatures and longevity.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the money

Pros: Price: 5 eggs
Quality: 4.5 eggs
Performance: 4.5 eggs

Quality is missing 1/2 egg because they could of put a few more holes/vents for spin drives especially at the top of the drive. Excellent for SSD's. I have one Crucial CT1248785 128GB, and one Intel 320 Series 120GB. I've tried two spin drives but the heat seemed too much. One SSD and one spin drive works decent as well.

Similair issue with performance. Does not accomodate spin drives very well. Better for SSD. But I gave it as many eggs as I did because it does operate very well, easy to install, and it is hot swappable.

Cons: Heat problem when running two spin drives especially if one is a 7200RPM. I do NOT recommend running two spin drives in this unit.

Other Thoughts: Note: Do not try to snap the drive all the way in. Push until stop and then use the door to close shut along with "snapping drive" in place. Hope this helps as I sort of tried forcing it until I relized the door was probably part of the mechanizm to push the drive out to make "screwless" work properly.

5 out of 5 eggsI like 'em

Pros: Reasonable Price. holds two (2) 2.5" drives nicely. Includes all cables, screws, etc. needed.

Cons: I guess if you want the lights to flash when accessed it's a con (there is another model - don't remember which - that looks exactly like this one but the lights flash on access. I would prefer they didn't anyway - it's to distracting - my computers access light flashes fine and is not so bright.
