Pros: Nice feature set. Fit easily in a Cooler Master Scout Case. Has output connectors for status LED's, Power, HD Access, Fan failure, Overheat.
Cons: Latch and front panel feel cheap and flimsy. HD install is not tool less.
Other Thoughts: Installing the HD in the cart is tricky. The space is tight and there is a series of wires running across the front of the cart. I had to use a toothpick to "shoehorn" the drive into the cart in order to keep it from pinching the wires. At minimal cost a guard could have been put over the wires to protect them.

Pros: Looks cool, Interfaces well with my WD Raptor. Keeps my hard drive cool, and separate from the rest of my computer. Good for my needs (primary HDD Storage). I am not going to be using this as a hot swap bay, but more as a cooling center for my HDD.
Cons: LCD Screen does not have many functions (but thats not a big deal), latch is plastic and less sturdy than I would like.
Other Thoughts: Only a 2 stage lock instead of 3 as advertised (NEWEGG PLEASE UPDATE SPECS!!!). I do not have a problem with the latch mechanism on the front because I am using this to house my boot drive, and will not take it out often, but frequent removal may cause problems (I have read other reviews).

Pros: Nice looking unit, but...
Cons: I've had 8 of these installed in a raid tower. Over the past year 3 have failed mysteriously. In the end I traced the issue to a bad sensor. Basically the unit would complain that the drive was over heating, even though it wasn't even close to being hot. In the worst case unit would take the drive offline, thus screwing up the raid system.
'Supposedly' you can adjust the temperature setting for the alarm. I tried doing this in an effort to try to stop the units from taking the drives off line. Anyway, after several attempts of following the alarm setting instructions, I gave up as my setting never seemed to 'stick'.
For me these units are worse than a single star. They cost me A LOT of time and aggravation.
Other Thoughts: After researching alternatives I'm lean towards either a simpler design (no alarms, etc) in the form of the BYTECC BT-135E-BK (I have a few of these and never have had a problem), Or I'm also tempted to try the Granite Digital Sata Vue LCD Hot-Swap Tray. Unfortunately these latter units are not sold by New Egg.
