Pros: - Does what it should
- Fan on this model is very quiet (not on the IPF model!)

Cons: - Latches are weak
- No locking
- Case fitting issue (like everyone else...)

Other Thoughts: In the end this thing works but there are better ones out there. I don't recommend it. I know everyone (including myself) has had to modify their case to fit this and frankly that's just unacceptable.

Pros: Appears to be built okay...

Cons: Do not purchase if you intend to install this into a Fractal Design Define R4 Computer case. I had to modify my case as it was an extremely tight fit. You'll end up having to drill out the rivets so that you can straighten out the aluminum tabs and file down a couple of washers that are holding your front case speaker connectors as they won't make the clearance..

Other Thoughts: As far as installation into my case, it was an extremely tight fit, unless you enjoy modding your case, own a rivet gun, nibbler tool/hammer, etc I would probably stay away from this if you own a Fractal Design Define R4 case.

Overall, very satisfied with this item... I didn't mind modding my case, it ended up looking really good with the case... Using unRAID and now have 20TB :)

Pros: Looks well build. Took my HD like champion.

Cons: Both the Mitutoyo and my Anyi Caliper confirmed that this product was quoting well above 146.0 mm. To the point it would never go in. No wonder I had to shave about a 0.5 mm off the rails in my workstation so it would make it without bending.

I hate being lied to. I would hightly recommand newegg and ICY DOCK to modify the product description to take the proper width into account.Took many eggs away.

Other Thoughts: It could be bad quality controle, or some bad business move from an administrator trying to save money at ICY DOCK. In both cases people are paying for something wrong and you guys should feel bad about this.

Cons: -EXTREMELY tight fit! You WILL need to modify your case to get these to fit. I had 2 of these to install which required bending 12 of the 5.25" support tabs COMPLETELY flat in order for them to fit. On top of these being just a bit too tall, I also had one short out the top HDD bay, so I had to RMA that one.

Other Thoughts: I recently discovered MB153SP-B 3... this product is similar to the old 4-in-3 backplane I had previously. This seems to be a newer, cheaper, better version. If you read this review, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Buy the MB153SP-B 3 instead!

Pros: I'm sure it's great, if I could use it.

Cons: Too tall for my full size case's drive bays.
I purchased this to use with my Antec Twelve Hunderd case. Unfortunately, it does not fit into the case. It is too tall, overall, to fit into the shelves of the 5.25 drives.

Pros: I have 4 of these units, and can find nothing but praise for the product. I am changing drives from the storage bays to active bays constantly. The only problem I have had was caused by me, and their service department was kind enough to send me the part I needed to effect the repair. These units are real workhorses, as all their products I own.

Cons: If there are any, I haven't found them in 5 years.

Other Thoughts: If you need a durable unit, that will stand up to constant use, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this item.

Pros: Does what it says - holds 3x 3.5" drives in two 5.25" bays. Easy to mount in the case, fits perfectly. I installed it in my server with three 1TB drives configured in RAID 5 (configure with your motherboard's RAID controller).

Cons: Feels cheap, but it will probably hold up. The drive trays are annoying to work with, because you have to mount each drive to a tray before sliding them into the cage. If this would bug you I recommend a trayless design, otherwise it works fine and is perfectly functional.

Pros: They work.

Cons: They don't exactly fit all chassis -- a little bit wide... just a touch. Really had to force them in which made me cringe. The plastics are waiting to snap, but if you're careful you'll be okay.

Other Thoughts: Bought in 2009 and they still work. No complaints there.

Pros: 3-in-2 backplane so you can fit more drives. External, easy hot swap with activity/error indicator lights.

Just got my 2nd one for a rebuild of my home NAS storage. First one was great, and when I had a drive fail in it very easy to pull the failed drive, replace it, and put it back in all without shutting down the system.

Cons: Pretty long with the fan on the back, as well as a bit noisy, but for me that's not too bad. The bigger issue is the height is such that it actually won't fit into the 5.25" bays if you have a case with the tabs sticking out separating each half height bay. In that case, you'll have to bend, dremel, or otherwise modify your case for it to fit. If they could shave off a millimeter or two they probably could get it to work. Also a bit tight on the sides, but pretty workable.

Other Thoughts: I'm probably going to get some quieter fans and sound proofing material. Seems louder in the new case I got, but that could partially be due to the large vent on the top and side of the case which my previous one didn't have.

Pros: Very well built and solid. It works as advertised.

Cons: a bit on the noisy side. I was able to swap out the fan on the back as it is a standard size. There is a catch to this. the fan connector to the unit is nonstandard and requires you to connect the fan to the motherboard or get out your soldering iron. I deducted a couple of stars for all of this.
With the replacement fan it was much quieter.

Other Thoughts: I found the required tray to be cumbersome and a pain to swap out hard drives. as a result I am not using this unit at this time.
