3 out of 5 eggsDoes it's job with some flaws

Pros: - The Bytecc 5.25" drive bay converter takes a 3.5" drive and allows it to fit into a 5.25" drive bay. I was able to fit the WD Black HDD in it with two screw mounts, and it held it securely with the provided bag of screws.
- There are a couple of screw threads in the sides of the bay, letting the bay to align with most cases' drive bays; however, not all apparently (see cons).
- The construction isn't too bad, and it hasn't created any unnecessary vibration in the case or anything of the sort.
- Took my 3.5" WD HDD and made it fit into a 5.25" bay; although not without some caveats.

Cons: - I'm warning you that--although you may have no problems and the bay might align perfectly in your case--it didn't in mine (Corsair Carbide 540). I had to screw into the bay and thread my own screw holes for a proper alignment, and even then, the bay wasn't perfectly secure. I don't believe I'm the only one who ran into this problem, considering there aren't a ton of screw threads in the bay's side, as there should be, for we all have different cases and screw alignments.

Other Thoughts: - Overall, it does the job, and for most people it probably won't require any modification. With that said, it isn't too difficult of course to add another screw hole into it, but it does weaken the frame. I can say that buying this is somewhat of a gamble, in hopes that it aligns properly, but it's understandably difficult for a product to fit into ALL the cases on the market.

4 out of 5 eggsSo happy this thing exists!

Pros: Needed this to place some USB 3.0 ports in the front of my PC. The port bay fit perfectly inside this adapter and it looks like it was made for my PC. The finish is sleek and the bay is very adaptable.

Cons: It felt just a bit cheap, but given the price I suppose this isn't really a valid complaint.

4 out of 5 eggsWYSIWYG

Pros: Solid construction, lots of holes for different mounting options, looks great in my black Antec case.

Cons: Plastic! For some reason I thought for sure this would be a metal bracket. I should have read the reviews. But that said, it's fine.

It took me longer than it should have to realize that the outer holes (for mounting it in the case) were meant to be threaded with the self-tapping screws. I was trying other screws and couldn't figure out if they were too big or what. You have to use the ones that were included with the big thread.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product.

Pros: Screw's included. Good fitment. I used this to mount a rosewill muti card reader in my wife's pc. No problem's and everything matched up perfectly. Looks good too. Mounting screw's come with it.

Cons: Adapter screw head's could be a little bigger.

Other Thoughts: The screw head's that actually mount the adapter itself could be a little bigger.

2 out of 5 eggsPlastic bracket that doesn't fit well

Pros: Well priced, decent build quality

Cons: Does not fit the 3.5in HDD I bought this for. I bought the WD10EZEX to go with it. However, the side screws do not match up with the holes on the HDD. The holes on the bracket are in the right place, but they are slightly lower than the holes in the HDD. The screws go in at an upward angle

Other Thoughts: Overall a good product, but make sure your HDD fits the bracket. I am not sure if I got some bad brackets or not every HDD is created the same

1 out of 5 eggsArrived Damaged.

Pros: - Serves its purpose.
- Cheap.

Cons: - Arrived damaged.
- Screw holes not aligned properly. As a result my card is recessed and not flush with the bracket and computer case.
- Do not over tighten the screws holding the card to the bracket. Once you feel the slightest resistance, stop. The brackets are extremely delicate and crack very easily.

Other Thoughts: - Might be a good deal if it arrives undamaged. For me it is not worth to RMA this item. I super glued the damaged part and will have to live with the recessed card. Look somewhere else if you want to be sure your card fits your case correctly.
- I definitely do not recommend this bracket to anyone.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap, but works

Pros: It's inexpensive and does what it's supposed to do. It came in the right color and looks nice.

Cons: Cheaply made. It was impossible to tell that I'd overtightened a couple of the screws that mounted the drive to the bracket until the plastic cracked. Conversely, the screws on the outside of the bracket (to mount the bracket to the drive bay) needed, and could take, a lot of tightening. It was difficult to get the panel flush and lined up correctly on the front.

Other Thoughts: Kind of a pain to install, but even with cracked plastic screw holes it's holding my card reader just fine, and it looks good. So, for the price, and because I'm not likely to re-use it or mess with it any time soon, I feel I got my money's worth.
