1 out of 5 eggsDid not work with Samsung SSD

Pros: Assuming the HDD you use works this, it is a sleek way of getting hard drive installed into a 3.5in drive.

Cons: Item did not work with a Samsung SSD. I read some other reviews who had issues with SSDs, but thought I would give product a try. But no go. Oh well.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked Great in Mac Pro 2,1

Pros: Tool-less design with a clever locking mechanism. light, decently ventilated. Compatibly with any 3.5 inch drive mount or chassis.

Cons: None that I can tell

Other Thoughts: I purchased this along with a Samsung 840 SSD. It worked perfectly in a Mac Pro 2,1 after cloning the physical disk with Carbon Copy Cloner. I had no problems with the physical mount or interface. Just make sure you fully seat the drive when pushing it in. It's so light, one might assume it's fully inserted when it's not quite there.

5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: They seem to be *exactly* as described.
A nice 3.5" enclosure for a 2.5" drive.

Cons: Nothing, really. The edges seem a bit sharp.

Other Thoughts: I've used them on a MacPro1,1, an old PowerMac7,2, a new Dell, etc. Just a bunch of systems that require a standard-sized 3.5" drive due to some weird docking setup they have. I've gone with the SanDisk Extreme (120GB and 240GB) for all installations.

5 out of 5 eggsGood adapter

Pros: Fits perfectly in my Dell hot-swap caddies

Cons: Materials are cheap, but once it's installed, you never have to see it again

Other Thoughts: Make sure to firmly secure your 2.5" drive against the connector!

5 out of 5 eggsIt "just works"

Pros: It works and fits perfectly in a 2008 Mac Pro.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: While it's not a con, I wish it were made of aluminum or another metal to match the archaic HDDs I still have as well as the aluminum chassis.

1 out of 5 eggsI guess it works?

Pros: It fits on mac pro 2008 3,1 perfect.

Cons: This one doesn't work. Mac won't boot at all but when I remove the ssd and plug it directly in to the board it boots fine but when I mount the drive in this I get nothing from the drive. Tried several SSD's and still nothing. 1 Egg for it fitting in the mac pro. Not sure if its even worth the time for an RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect fit in Mac Pro 3,1

Pros: This converter fits perfectly in the internal drive bay in my Mac Pro 2009 (3,1). I installed a Crucial M4 256GB as my primary HDD in this converter, and it popped right into the HDD caddy inside the Mac. Good to go!

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome goodness - works in my Gateway FX6831

Pros: Perfect low cost solution for using 2.5" SSD's in my removable hot swap bays on my Gateway FX6831-03. Aligns perfectly using the removable media tray that came with the computer.

Cons: My Samsung 830 256GB SSD was a little difficult to get it to snap into the connector all the way (you have to do this manually-not much room inside the dock to complete this task, but it is achievable with some patience).

Other Thoughts: Overall, a great solution for utilizing 2.5" SSD drives in removable drive bays.

1 out of 5 eggsDid not function

Pros: It fits in a Rosewill RX-C525 mobile rack just like a 3.5" HDD.

Cons: I opened the case and dangled the Icy Dock from the cables. The BIOS still can't find the SSD. I removed the SSD from the Icy Dock, and dangled it from the cables. It boots up perfectly.

Other Thoughts: I thought it was a good deal @ $14.39, but it is not worth RMA'ing
