5 out of 5 eggsFits All Normal 2.5-inch Drives

Pros: 2.5-inch (laptop size) SSDs, spinning hard drives (HDDs), and hybrid SSHDs all have mounting holes in exactly the same place. Two holes on each side edge and four holes on the underside/bottom of the drive. Holes on bottom are aligned with holes on the sides. This BYTTEC bracket has mounting holes which precisely match the holes on the drives. It is, therefore, impossible to understand why anyone would claim the bracket doesn't fit their drive. Also, the supplied screws are precisely the right length for bottom hole mount, side hole mount, and mounting the bracket itself into any standard 3.5-inch hard drive "cage" in a PC case.

Cons: Side mounting holes for drives are slightly smaller than the screws so you are self-tapping those holes when you attach the mounting screws. No big deal, just press firmly with your screwdriver.

Other Thoughts: Another feature is orientation of the drives if you are mounting two drives in the bracket. Because the drives mount close together, one above the other, using L-shaped SATA cables may be difficult. To overcome this, mount the drives facing opposite directions so their SATA connectors are at opposite ends of the bracket. This allows you to use L-shaped SATA cables for each drive without blocking access to the other drive - duh!

5 out of 5 eggsGood for what it is, price and function.

Pros: Mounting drive adapter for SSD that does exactly what it's meant to do. Good for mounting two SSD drives, good space between drive for air to pass through. Sturdy design and worth the price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Cheap and easy adapter for those pesky drives that lack the adapter despite high price. They know who they are.

3 out of 5 eggsHard to Allign

Pros: Holds firmly. Does exactly what I need.

Cons: Difficult to install. It took over an hour to install everything. The screw holes wouldn't line up in my case and I had to prop it with something just to get the holes to align. Then, when I put the screws in, it took way too many turns because the holes were NOT threaded. Just holes in plastic.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully you don't make a mistake, because then the threading you had to make will be wrong and will be a headache.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy. Doesn't fit.

Pros: Cheap. Really cheap. So cheap it is almost misleading.

Cons: Doesn't fit. Now sit in closet. Maybe I will give it away as a white elephant gift.

5 out of 5 eggsworked as intended

Pros: Cheap and effective, I used it to mount 2 sandisk ssd drives in an small form factor Lenovo desktop system that only had space for one standard desktop drive (surface mounted), the perfect part for the job at hand.

Cons: none that I can see

Other Thoughts: not sure why other reviewers have problem with it being plastic. Unless you're building a PC to put in a battlefield tank or a baja racer, it should hold up just fine

2 out of 5 eggsWould consider death instead of using again.

Pros: - Roughly the correct size and shape
- Cheap(ish?)
- Comes with screws

Cons: - Doesn't have all the right holes
- Holes aren't threaded
- Thicker than the 3.5" drive I replaced. Couldn't fit case together without modification.
- Really hard to work with
- Surprisingly confusing for being a piece of plastic.

Other Thoughts: I thought, hey, I shouldn't have to pay $10 for a bracket. It's just a hunk of plastic (or metal). Should be practically free, so I'll get one that's cheap and get on with my life. It was not worth the hassle. I would pay at least double, and consider triple, the cost of this bracket before using another one.

3 out of 5 eggsget what you pay for

Pros: if you are using an existing case that doesn't have the 2.5" bays, this is a quick fix for mounting your new ssd drive.

Cons: cheap. They are made of plastic. not too sure about loading two ssd drives on it. Bottom drive mounts to bottom of bracket, while top drive is supposed to mount through side of bracket. I am more worried about vibration affecting the ssd drive because of the plastic. I would definitely spring the couple extra bucks for the metal one on my next purchase.
