5 out of 5 eggsIt Works!

Pros: Comes with the screws. Works as advertised. Can't beat the Price.

Cons: You need a little mini screw driver like for glasses and stuff.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what I need it to do

Pros: - Holds hard drives
- Holds SSDs
- Fits in a standard 3.5" slot

Cons: - Doesn't make toast

Other Thoughts: - There are some odd sized screw holes on the side, but it fit in my case just fine with the included screws, so I won't complain.

1 out of 5 eggsMade of Plastic

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Made of Plastic. That would have been a nice detail to include in the product description Newegg!!

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this item. I have bought others that are metal and I would stick with those. It's not worth returning.

1 out of 5 eggsNot a universal fit.

Pros: Cheap.
Adequate for a standard bay. Not usable if you require the drive to be in the exact same place as the original.

Cons: Does not position the power and data connectors at the same location relative to the sides of the bracket as the original drive.

Other Thoughts: Application: I was using the bracket along with a Kingston 240 GB SSD drive to replace the existing 500 GB conventional drive in a iMac 2008.

The bracket centers the drive. This positions the connections about a half inch further from the side of the drive as they are on an 'real' drive, as well as not sticking out as far from the location of bracket. E.g. If I am looking down on the circuit board side of the drive, the connectors are on the bottom left. This braket positions these connectors about 1/2 inch up and to the right. In the iMac 2008 there isn't enough play in the cables to allow them to attach in this new position.

The soluiton was simple. I installed the drive with a strip of double sided carpet tape.

Ideal behaviour: A mounting bracket ouside exactly imitates the positioning of a 3.5" drive. The interal mounting of the smaller drive positions the connectors exactly where they are on a 3.5 inch drive.

Not worth returning.

1 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with Antec Sonata tray

Pros: Nothing to speak of

Cons: The screw holes on the bottom are too narrow for the screws that would hold it in the tray of my Antec Sonata. Would be overkill anyway: use hair bands or rubberbands to secure the 2.5" drive to the tray.

Will be returning this, unless it costs more to do that than the stupid thing is worth.

Other Thoughts: Should have known better.

5 out of 5 eggsHolds two 2.5" HDD's and SSD's

Pros: - Perfectly holds two SSD's or HDD's or one of each.
- Comes with screws.
- Fits each case I use.

Cons: - It's not gold plated?

Other Thoughts: Everything you need is included in the box. I use these for HDD's and SSD's both. They fit snug both to the case and to the drives. Even with two drives installed they weigh practically nothing. Just be mindful of which way you orient the drives if you're using right-angle sata cables. I don't understand the people who can't figure out how to mount these things?

5 out of 5 eggsA great improvement over earlier brackets

Pros: Lightweight and flexible. Holds two drives with adequate space for cooling. The entire bracket slips into a Corsair drive caddy perfectly. Supplied screws have secured a Samsung SSD.

Cons: None that I can find. I do, however, suggest strong hands use caution and not overtighten drive mounting screws.

Other Thoughts: Recommended
