4 out of 5 eggsGet it if you are using a desktop

Pros: It's not the sturdiest build, but it is more than enough to house an SSD or two. It has room for two, though I'm only using one.

Cons: The screws it came with, which were more than you'd need, aren't going to help you screw it into your tower most likely. Make sure you have extra screws on hand to see what fits for your needs.

Other Thoughts: Much better than trying to screw it in without a case into a desktop. Worth the money in the end.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does allow sliding a 2.5" device in a 3.5" space. Has threaded and non-threaded screw holes (designed for the enclosed self-tapping screws).

Cons: Insufficient and poor placed threaded screw holes. I got this for an HP desktop where you just add these provided screws to a drive in place of drive rails. Works with the holes in all the hard drives I've ever used, however, not with this carrier. This carrier would do well to duplicate the hole placement on hard drives and not leave some out.

Other Thoughts: Mounted an SSD in this. Slid it in. Not locked but not going anywhere in this desktop machine.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks, but issues

Pros: It holds 2 ssd's.
Works with my setup & cables. Sturdy, has side screws that work.

Cons: It doesn't include four bottom screw hole mounts that hdd's have. This lead to me having to drill holes so it could fit in my cases mounting system. I had to drill 6 times to get it to line up and now looks like swiss cheese.

3 out of 5 eggsIt will do...

Pros: The high point of this item is that for a plastic bracket, it is strong, and does not feel at all flimsy. I have used brackets like this in the past and most of them do break fairly easily. Most of them would become warped in the case due to screwing in too tight, but this one is not showing any signs like that yet.

Cons: The downside of this bracket is the position of the drives on the bracket. Most computers SATA cables if they are good quality will be rather thick. With this said in the two drive configuration the plugs may or may not fit for you. I have a PSU with a line of 4 SATA power plugs, and trying to get the SATA power plugged in was a nightmare let alone the data plugs.

Moving around the drives in the tray, you can make it work with a bit more clearance, but it was still way to close to comfort. In the end, I just put one SSD in the bracket, and located another place to put the other SSD.

Other Thoughts: Had I known it would only work well in my situation for one drive configuration I probably would not have looked for a different product.

5 out of 5 eggsGets the job done for 2.5" SSDs

Pros: Lightweight
Easy to install

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It's a piece of plastic to hold your 2.5" SSD. It might not be the strongest or the best, but once installed, you won't see it again until you need to swap a drive. It is priced right for the job expected of it.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes its job

Pros: Cheap, does what is is supposed to do, that is hold an SSD so that you can mount it in a tower.

Cons: Its cheap. The screws for the HD are nice, but the screws to mount it to the bay are less than satisfactory. I use a bigger screw, and it holds. Do not even attempt to tighten this up more than screw bottoming out. It will strip, but it will still hold. SSDs don't spin, so that is probably why it is cheap plastic, it will work fine.

Other Thoughts: Not only would I buy again, but I have been buying this same bracket for a few years now.
