Introducing the MB882HX-1SB 2.5" SATA SSD Xpander Hybrid Adapter. Using a high speed 2.5" SATA SSD and a high capacity 3.5" SATA hard drive, you can combine them to create a new breed of species. Using our hybrid technology, we can take a moderate or 2nd generation 2.5" SATA SSD in combination with a mid to higher end 3.5" SATA hard drive which automatically creates "hybrid partition" and "storage partition". The "hybrid partition" doubles the capacity of the SSD drive and provides high performance in transfer rates. The storage partition gives you the remaining capacity of the hard drive* (the size of the 3.5" SATA hard drive minus "hybrid partition" size).
Know what you're getting
Pros: Doubles your SSD, while taking only a portion of your HDD. Easy to (physically) install. Product is sturdy and secure. Instructions are easy to follow...(for tech minded).
Cons: Scary...if you don't read...your system WILL NOT recognize the drive(s).
Other Thoughts: If I had anymore PC builds I would definately buy one of these NOW...for less than $20...are you kidding...and I double my SSD space while only giving up about 4 seconds in boot time...really...Does anyone need a systme built???...I'd put one of these babies in...in a New York Minute..."nuff said"

did not work for me
Pros: none to date, maybe the rebate if it comes
Cons: delivery by pony express from West coast to East, I hear they make make the crossing in less than a month these days.
Other Thoughts: the instructions are awful, refer to XP setup. The manual does not match the outcome after setup. 32GB SSD capacity was not 2x as described. Capacity showed as 1x and unallocated space was exactly the HDD = 300GB Raptor. Tried 64GB SSD with 300GB drive, BIOS saw the ICYD but windows(7x64) would not install as it could see no Drives. Tried IDE and ACHI in BIOS same result= no load. Abandoned project, will not RMA as the process just blows. Z68 might be the next step

It works a treat!
Pros: -Does EXACTLY what it's advertised to do. I have it connected to a 120GB Crucial C300 SSD, and it shows up in the BIOS as 230GBish, basically double of the 110ish it would normally show (sorry, I don't have the exact numbers on hand).
Cons: -Was a little panicked at first when I saw that My Computer only showed my boot drive (SSD). Then, I went to Disk Management and realized that the remaining 1.15TB of my 1.5TB drive was simply unallocated. I right-clicked, set up a new drive, and bam, 10 seconds later I had both drives set up and running.
Other Thoughts: DO NOT GET EGG SAVER SHIPPING. It's a bit of a risk, since there are plenty of horror stories out there about the shipment taking up to 2 weeks. I lucked out and got mine in 4 business days, but you may not be as lucky. DHL's tracking is pretty terrible.
