4 out of 5 eggsGood Spacer

Pros: Nice tool-less HDD adapter
Simple to set up and install.

Cons: Mounting this inside a HDD slider bracket in my PC took a few minutes to get the right fit, The plastic is not overly sturdy, but some of the bend worked in my favor.

Other Thoughts: Used for my new Samsung Evo 250G SSD.
Mounted inside of a dell slider HDD bracket for a XPS 730X

2 out of 5 eggsNot the best

Pros: Cheap, came in a variety of colors.

Cons: Not good for slim sized drives (7mm or less).

Other Thoughts: I had to replace it with the metal adapter brackets from BYTECC. They are much better but more permanent.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable

Pros: Price, holds two drives, has worked in everything I've used them in.

Cons: Nothing I can't live with or get around.

Other Thoughts: These are plastic, in one case I just drilled/tapped new holes for screws, worked like charm. Can't beat the price if you buy 2.5" drives that don't come with the adapters, and the case you are working with doesn't have 2.5" drive mounting. I will continue to purchase these until they quit making them. They have worked for everything I needed them to work in.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive and does just what it's supposed to. Handle for inserting and removal a big plus, but also a disadvantage. (See cons)

Cons: The same handle that makes it easy to insert and remove from drive bays gets in the way when plugging in the cable, but not a biggie.

3 out of 5 eggsMounting incompatibilities

Pros: Snug, secure fit on 2.5" drives (tested Samsung 830 and WD Scorpion Blue).

Cons: Can't be used with cases that use 3.5" HDD trays that mount drives with the bottom holes (like the Antec Sonata); the adapter is injection moulded and hasn't been designed with plastic or mounting holes where such screws would go.

Other Thoughts: This is fine for cases that use the side mounting screws, just not cases like the Sonata (which uses rubber grommets to damp vibration of mechanical drives, and thus uses the bottom screw holes and custom screws).

4 out of 5 eggsWorks pretty well.

Pros: Cheap, holds 2 drives, flexible. Bright blue.

Cons: May not have the strictest tolerances. Doesn't give good backrubs or wash your car or light up or anything. Bright blue.

Other Thoughts: Used it for a client to put an SSD in a Late 2009 iMac, which has a unique 3.5" drive bracket setup - mounting rail holes didn't line up super-precise, had to bend and flex a bit to get it to fit. Drive bay uses screw in mounting post thingies, but the plastic took it well enough.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple and Reliable

Pros: The bracket is really simple and easy to operate. For the price and application, the quality is exactly what it needs to be. The installation was quick and easy, which is always a plus.

Cons: The bracket recesses the drive quite a bit, so with other 3.5" drives around the bracket, managing the wiring was borderline impossible

Other Thoughts: I have a tool less kit, so I didn't use the provided pins. They looked like they would work, but I didn't try them. The bracket was compatible with the "rails" that attach to the side of my drives for my case (RaidMAX Smilodon).
