5 out of 5 eggsNice solid product

Pros: Good price and great construction. Very solid metal bracket
for mounting in the 3.5" drive space or both ports are VERY
easily removed from the bracket if you choose to replace
existing ports on your case with these. Decent cable length.
Blue cable if you care about color and have side window.

Cons: Cable could be a BIT longer.

4 out of 5 eggsNeed better mounting

Pros: I read reviews complaining about the flimsy build, I'm not sure if I got a newer version or whatever but mine feels very sturdy, both the bracket outside and the HDD mounting inside.

Cons: The lower SSD mounting screw holes are not properly aligned in mine, upper ones are OK. I need to install only 1 SSD so thats fine for me, however it should add mounting holes at the bottom for easy installation like N82E16817994085.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Cheap, adds 2 additional 3.0 usb slots to the front of your computer, plugs directly into motherboard 20 pin port, the cord is almost 2 feet in length (which is more than enough). I did not have any problems with the bracket being flimsy. As long as you are using putting it into the bay correctly, it should just slide in. If you have to use force, then you are obviously doing something wrong.

Cons: I have no complaints whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I do not know why people deducted an egg or multiple eggs for the quality of the bracket. For $11.99, were you expecting titanium or stainless steel? Seriously, be realistic. If you want a high end durable bracket, then buy it separately.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked

Pros: Inexpensive, quality metal construction, 2.5 drive mount

Cons: maybe a little plain appearance

Other Thoughts: I bought this product because a Vantec model I had previously purchased didn't work. Turned out not to be the fault of the Vantec product, but rather there was an issue with the USB 3.0 pin outs on my Intel DZ77BH-55k motherboard. Intel replaced the board and all was well with both this one and the Vantec.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Different

Pros: USB 3.0 outlet

Cons: No 3.5 X 5 PC plate adaptor

Other Thoughts: Each 3.0 cable snaps off bracket to easy replace 2.0 cable on PC case

2 out of 5 eggsNot sturdy

Pros: The cord is really good quality and durable.

Cons: The metal tray is made of some seriously inferior material if it bends at all it cracks & snaps off. I didn't have trouble till I upgraded the SDDs I had mounted in it. The new drives were ever so slightly bigger and the slight bending needed broke off both mounting tabs on one side. This was after both retainers on the USBs broke trying to remove them so I didn't have to unplug them from the motherboard during the upgrade. Now some might say "Well you shouldn't be trying to bent it all out of shape just to be lazy." but this is why I bought metal with retainer clips and not preformed plastic which would of been cheaper and lighter.

Other Thoughts: In the end I have a really nice internal USB 3.0 cord I use to run 2 internal USB 3.0 drives. That maybe alittle over priced.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product ... Almost

Pros: I have ordered several of these. The construction materials for the bay could be better. The metal is pretty pliable and easily bent. The USB 3.0 ports work just fine no problem with those. And they are especially great that they are placed so far apart. Sometimes some of the USB drives or adapters can be rather large and don't fit well when they are too close.

The two extra 2.5" bays are great to have too. For the price a great value. Looks really nice inside a case too. Very good finish inside and out.

Cons: Flimsy metal bay. Seems like its aluminum and not steel. I wish I could take only 1/2 star off for this because otherwise it is a great product especially for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Like a Charm and Well Built

Pros: Just built a new system using an older case so I wanted to have some USB 3.0 ports on the front. Pulled out an old floppy drive and mounted this and it was simple as it can be.

It works perfectly and what I liked about this hub was that it has the USB ports mounted vertically at the left and right sides so there never will be an issue of them being so close to each other that I might have a problem using both at the same time. It also provides mount points for a couple of 2.5" drives, though I didn't need it, it's a nice plus. It is sturdy and functional, and it is a bit bland looking though that doesn't bother me.

Cons: None, works as advertised

Other Thoughts: Provides a simple solution if your case doesn't already have front USB 3.0 ports. The cable is very thick and well made, no chance of any interference with these and the 20 pin plug is also well made and plugged right into my motherboard.

Having the USB ports mounted vertically and at the edges solves the problem that many complain about with other brackets where the ports are mounted horizontally and fairly close to each other. Construction is good and it is doubtful there will ever be any issue with this, and the drive mounts can be a real bonus if you are running short in your case.
