4 out of 5 eggsNice, dual purpose gadget

Pros: + Gives you a use for the USB 3.0 header in cases that don't have a front 3.0 port
+ Metal
+ Nice thick cables with good connectors

Cons: - The front USB ports are slightly crooked toward the sides of the unit, when yo plug something it, the plug is visably crooked in the port.
- Side holes for the lower drive. There is no reason they couldn't have made the bottom drive mount from underneath. A real pain getting those puny screws past the USB port.
- The front center of the face bulges out a little, which doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe they think it looks good, but it might get in the way if your case has a door.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Zo Far!

Pros: Shopped this up to combine the metal bracket mounting 2 * SSD drives AND add the 2 * USB 3.0 ports to the front panel: this combination really folds space and adds convenience.

It's great that this has a USB header-plug for the two ports to connect to my motherboard directly. The only other equivalent adapter I've seen costs DOUBLE the price and the USB cord is an extension to connect the two additional ports to one existing port..meh, .not as good of an arrangement!

Cons: No cons yet but -

- I'm leery of the weak metal mentioned in other reviews: not worth any stars until it would happen to me!

- had to take a Dremel™ tool and extend the mount holes for the lower drive because it wouldn't quite fit

Other Thoughts: Great price and utility, free shipping: NewEgg at its best

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says

Pros: Easy install, decent price, Performs as expected, very smart multi-purposing of USB ports and a 2.5 bay

Cons: None - arrived on time and works as expected.

Other Thoughts: I'm giving it 5 stars based on what I was expecting, what I needed and what I got. Exactly as described, no issues so far whatsoever, both ports work (USB 3 devices, USB 2 and peripherals like controllers) The cables are long enough to work with (hiding them)

If you're going to add 2x front USB 3.0 ports to your desktop, might as well get this with the 2.5 bay instead of one with just the ports. Same prices.

2 out of 5 eggsFront hub bracket

Pros: Good dual SSD bracket.
SSD fit snug all screws needed are included.

Cons: As others have said holders for the USB cables are flimsy.
One broke while trying to get screws in the bottom SSD.
Metal is thick enough just not of good quality. Will not buy this brand again.
Buy at your own risk.

5 out of 5 eggsNice solid product

Pros: Good price and great construction. Very solid metal bracket
for mounting in the 3.5" drive space or both ports are VERY
easily removed from the bracket if you choose to replace
existing ports on your case with these. Decent cable length.
Blue cable if you care about color and have side window.

Cons: Cable could be a BIT longer.

4 out of 5 eggsNeed better mounting

Pros: I read reviews complaining about the flimsy build, I'm not sure if I got a newer version or whatever but mine feels very sturdy, both the bracket outside and the HDD mounting inside.

Cons: The lower SSD mounting screw holes are not properly aligned in mine, upper ones are OK. I need to install only 1 SSD so thats fine for me, however it should add mounting holes at the bottom for easy installation like N82E16817994085.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Cheap, adds 2 additional 3.0 usb slots to the front of your computer, plugs directly into motherboard 20 pin port, the cord is almost 2 feet in length (which is more than enough). I did not have any problems with the bracket being flimsy. As long as you are using putting it into the bay correctly, it should just slide in. If you have to use force, then you are obviously doing something wrong.

Cons: I have no complaints whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I do not know why people deducted an egg or multiple eggs for the quality of the bracket. For $11.99, were you expecting titanium or stainless steel? Seriously, be realistic. If you want a high end durable bracket, then buy it separately.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked

Pros: Inexpensive, quality metal construction, 2.5 drive mount

Cons: maybe a little plain appearance

Other Thoughts: I bought this product because a Vantec model I had previously purchased didn't work. Turned out not to be the fault of the Vantec product, but rather there was an issue with the USB 3.0 pin outs on my Intel DZ77BH-55k motherboard. Intel replaced the board and all was well with both this one and the Vantec.

2 out of 5 eggsNot sturdy

Pros: The cord is really good quality and durable.

Cons: The metal tray is made of some seriously inferior material if it bends at all it cracks & snaps off. I didn't have trouble till I upgraded the SDDs I had mounted in it. The new drives were ever so slightly bigger and the slight bending needed broke off both mounting tabs on one side. This was after both retainers on the USBs broke trying to remove them so I didn't have to unplug them from the motherboard during the upgrade. Now some might say "Well you shouldn't be trying to bent it all out of shape just to be lazy." but this is why I bought metal with retainer clips and not preformed plastic which would of been cheaper and lighter.

Other Thoughts: In the end I have a really nice internal USB 3.0 cord I use to run 2 internal USB 3.0 drives. That maybe alittle over priced.
