1 out of 5 eggsBad execution !!!!

Pros: Nice idea, I have used similar brackets in the past to mount 2 2.5" HDD's in a 3.5" bay .... *However* ....

Cons: .... These are very badly executed. I bought 5, tried to use 3 in an ongoing build, all 3 had poorly/non-threaded outer screw holes, I couldn't get the brackets to tighten up & stop rattling in the case. The 2.5" HDD's fit well, tightened up fine, but the outer holes wouldn't tighten up at all .... What to do, what to do ?

Other Thoughts: I will shop for other options. I have used older designs of Bytecc brackets & they worked fine, but they seem to have been discontinued in favor of these. *Way* too bad !!!!

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage.

Pros: Seem well built; made of metal.

Cons: The screw holes to actually mount the bracket to the case/hdd cage are not standard size (ie, the size you would find on the side of a 3.5" drive). They do give you 4 screws that fit, but...

If you say, have an antec 1200 or any other case that has long screws to mount harddrives or any other non-standard way to mount 3.5" drives, you will not be able to mount the bracket.

I'm not sure why someone would ever make a conversion bracket and then use a different screw size from the standard screw used in the thing they were converting from, yet here I sit. Out 5$ and an hour of my time with a worthless bracket. And it goes without saying it is not worth it to ship this back.

Other Thoughts: I really did think that simple parts like a SATA cable or backet didn't require a lot of research since they were all basically the same. In other words, hard to screw up. So thank you bytecc, you helped me learn something new.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap, but decent.

Pros: Works as intended.

Cons: Difficult to fit a 90 degree angle SATA cable end onto my SSD due to the metal of this bracket being in the way. Also, screw holes to connect the bracket to the 3.5" cage on the inside of my tower would not accept any screws (including the ones they provided) so I had to force thread them in. Not that huge of a deal, but a minor inconvenience none the less.

Other Thoughts: I mounted a 160GB SSD and a 250GB 2.5" HDD together on this bracket with only minor inconveniences, Saved me a lot of room in my tower and let me use a good drive that I had just lying around rather than having to buy a new one. Would recommend ++

5 out of 5 eggsGreat idea

Pros: Using for Raid SSDs in HAF XB Evo so two fit in one slot. works great for that.

Cons: in the mentioned case using the brackets/holders supplied I had to drill out the screw holes to make the things fit . Didn't matter the screws wouldn't fit in the screw holes anyway.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this again. They are metal so durable.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Well made w/good finish

Cons: Did not fit my particular computer disk drive slides.
2 of the 4 screws were good but the other 2 did not match up
A little hot glue took care of the problem - not really a big issue

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works as advertised. I only used it for a single drive but the spacing looks fine and heating shouldn't be an issue with SSD drives anyway. All the necessary drive screws were included as well, which was a bonus.

Cons: The only gripe I would have is that it's a little difficult to put the drive screws in since you have to put the screwdriver through a hole in the outer post that mounts to the computer case to the inner post that holds the actual drives. Certainly not a deal breaker though.
