5 out of 5 eggsGreat Addition

Pros: -allows for an extra fan which means more airflow and direct cooler of hard drives. SSD or Disk
-3.5" Drive bay converter!!! for my case this ment that i could remove my lower 3.5" drive bay cage and add a water pump or radiator etc.

Cons: wish it had mounts for a 140mm fan. But i understand that instead of taking of three 5" bays, it would take up 4. so its not enough to take off an egg.

Other Thoughts: Great product, i replaced the stock fan with a corsair fan that was quiet and had better airflow. awesome if you looking to put a radiator in place of your bottom drive cage. or for a little spot to put a liquid resevior and pump.

Pros: Fits well.

Fan wasn't DOA.

Cons: Orange fan blades???

Oh well, doesn't affect the performance.

4 out of 5 eggsquality part minus the quality control

Pros: Good for moving drives to upper area of case and eliminate hdd cages in most corsair cases. Includes a fan mount to install a intake fan. Accepts most 120mm fans (because orange isn't for me).

Cons: Missing grommets to be able to install all four drives. The grommets help keep drive lined up straight and also reduce vibration transfer which helps prolong usage.

Other Thoughts: Emailed company about my concern with grommets. Awaiting reply. Will check hardware store as well.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sturdy construction, efficient cooling. Very good vibration isolation.

Cons: Can be a real pain to install drives. the rubber grommets fall out very easily and are difficult to retrieve because the outside holes are so small. You have to shake the cage vigorously and when they do come out they can go flying. Best way to install the drives is to first remove the fan. Then you can reach in from the front and try to keep the grommets in place. As the drive gets to each pair very gently wiggle it back and forth. I found a little vaseline helps. The holes to install the screws are small so I put a little super glue on the tip of the screwdriver. You could also use a magnetic screwdriver.

Other Thoughts: You have to wonder if the person that designed these enclosures ever actually installed drives in them. If they did they surely would have seen how frustrating it can be. Changing the shape of the holes for the grommets would help a lot. Also the sides could be much more open instead of the small screw holes so you could hold the screws in place as you put them in.

5 out of 5 eggsone of the few decent solutions like this for the price

Pros: - Fits universally in cases that have 3 vacant 5.25" bays
- has a decent fan on the front
- fan wire is a decent length
- rubber grommets for the drive is a really welcome addition

Cons: - they could have included a few SATA power adapters or a SATA power multiplier cable to add value, but it's not a breaking point
- it doesn't allow for a rubber-standoff-mounted fan, but that's a stretch to ask for.

Other Thoughts: This is ideally price for those wanting to have 4 extra spaces for 3.5: drives, but don't need a hot-swap bay. Why all the other solutions are so pricey, must be due to the extra ports on them.
Note that this device only provides the space for the drives and no extra ports.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet fan that moves a fair amount of air

Adds 4 3.5" drive bays at the cost of 3 5.25" drive bays

Build quality is good

Cons: LEDs on fan are bright.

Mounting a bit tricky.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: I've had two of these running in a Freenas box for over two years now. Still going strong, cool and quiet. It's reasonably easy to install the drives, and they feel well supported once they're in there.

Cons: The LEDs are substantially dimmer now than when new, but they were annoying anyway. In my case they had to sit very far back to clear the front cover, therefore sticking quite far into the interior. This was no problem for me, but be aware.

Other Thoughts: A little pricey, but well made, and I haven't had to think about them. I did have to replace a drive in my array, and it was a bit of a pain, but it's hopefully nothing you'll have to do often.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: Solid construction
Nice fit for 3.5" drives- they feel firmly held in place
Like the rubber no vibration rubber
The fan is relatively quiet

Cons: The fan cable is quite frail.

Other Thoughts: With respect to the fan cable- I have not had an issue as yet but I think it is going to be the first thing to fail. I would not want to be messing around with this cage too much for fear of damaging the cable.

Must have missed the LED note in the description. Not really fatal but just annoying.

5 out of 5 eggsUseful.

Pros: Useful.

Cons: Fan cable will rub the case interior and eventually fray if you pull the enclosure in and out often enough. Not worth docking an egg.

Other Thoughts: Sometimes you just gotta stuff a case with drives. 4 in 3 will do it.

However, drive enclosures are starting to populate the top of my desk around the monitor. Must be time to buy a much bigger case and more 4n3's eh?

4 out of 5 eggsBrilliantly Simple

Pros: I make custom computer cases. Rugged and traveling cases. These hard drive cages are perfect additions my designs, and have kept my hard drives working cool.

Cons: The screws are somewhat difficult to insert.
