5 out of 5 eggsA high quality, albeit an expensive mounting bracket

This review is from: SilverStone SDP08 2 x 2.5" to 3.5" Bay Converter

Pros: *Does what it says, converts two SSD/Notebook size drives to a single desktop HDD size.
*Despite other reviewers, I found the spacing between drives adequate to attach standard sata power and data cables to the mounted drives (just not the angled ones).

Cons: *A bit pricey if all you want to do is mount an SSD into a desktop computer (usually a SSD comes with a single drive mounting bracket, but not always)

Other Thoughts: Metal is high quality and all screws required to mount two drives is included.

5 out of 5 eggsFull Sized Bay Converter

This review is from: SilverStone SDP08 2 x 2.5" to 3.5" Bay Converter

Pros: It's a full sized Bay Converter meaning that it will have the dimensions of a true 3.5" hard drive. This was ideal because it will fit in setups that fit in bay sized hard drives.

My previous bay converter(I brought from a retail store) wasn't truly full sized, and I was not able to secure it into the case as I wanted to whereas this SilverStone fits perfectly.

The construction is full metal, comes with screws, and it's easy to install a SSD.

Cons: What more do you possibly want?

2 out of 5 eggsNot without modification

This review is from: SilverStone SDP08 2 x 2.5" to 3.5" Bay Converter

Pros: It held the drive

Cons: Had to modify with a file to get it to fit inside the drive bay

Other Thoughts: The Sabrent BK-HDDH was a much better fit.

5 out of 5 eggsgood stuff

This review is from: SilverStone SDP08 2 x 2.5" to 3.5" Bay Converter

Pros: strong material construction
screw holes lined up correctly
2 in one mount

Cons: price is high

Other Thoughts: price is high for this kind of thing but this is one of the only ones without constant reviews about it not lining up properly

5 out of 5 eggsIt Works

This review is from: SilverStone SDP08 2 x 2.5" to 3.5" Bay Converter

Pros: Seems to be doing the job it was designed for. Installation wasn't difficult by any means.

Cons: A shame I wasn't able to use my tool-less brackets for my HDD cage but no big deal.

Other Thoughts: It was recommended to me by a couple of guys I talk to on a tech forum. Can't complain, in fact I may even buy again when I slap an SSD in to my wife's case and maybe for my new build at work.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with Antec P160 P180

This review is from: SilverStone SDP08 2 x 2.5" to 3.5" Bay Converter

Pros: Sturdy, and has screw holes that allows it to work in Antec P160 and P180. This is the only one I found that does this.

5 out of 5 eggsSilverStone SDP08 Bay Converter

This review is from: SilverStone SDP08 2 x 2.5" to 3.5" Bay Converter

Pros: Used to install a Crucial SSD, 2.5 inch, into a Cool Master HAF series RC-9932 Computer Case. Case has special hard drive pull out slots, that do not require screws. Works Perfect for this case.

5 out of 5 eggsNice solid construction

This review is from: SilverStone SDP08 2 x 2.5" to 3.5" Bay Converter

Pros: Heavy well finished metal, no sharp edges or metal shavings. Holds one or two SSDs. Top position easy for power cables, bottom position needs a straight-out connector or upside down mounting. Screw holes and supplied screws all work perfectly.

Cons: A bit longer than economy bay adapters, makes for a tighter fit in my mini-tower. Actual measurements are: 4.0" wide and 5.75" long. Screw holes for the bottom SSD are very close to the bottom, be sure to use the small-head screws supplied.

Other Thoughts: Best quality I've seen for an adapter!
