5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: This product is great. I can finally use the floppy drive bay and don't have to use a 2.5->3.5 adapter to hotswap my ssd or 2.5 drives.

Cons: I feel the price can be a bit lower, but when it works when you need it, paying ~$30 is worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine, good price

Pros: Sturdy metal simple design that won't break down to wear and tear.

Cons: molex connectors instead of sata power connectors. Very inconvenient. Literally the only molex device in my case.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill Dual 2.5" Caddy

Pros: Easy install and works as advertised. Have two Samsung Evo drives mounted in the FDD bay of my new computer and can easily swap out other SSD drives depending on what I need to boot. Convenient and good addition to any system.

Cons: Feels cheap and is a little flimsy, but once it is mounted it is fine.

Other Thoughts: Wish I had another FDD drive bay to fill.

3 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Using this to hold my ssd drives.

Cons: The SATA connectors on the back do not have a way to keep the cable attached. If your SATA cable has some tension on it, the cable may pull off the back.

Other Thoughts: I had to put some tape on it to secure the cables.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine for SSD

Pros: Easy install, fit perfectly in a Rosewill 3.5 to 5.25 converter tray (N82E16817997051). Doors seem solid enough, should survive multiple openings/closings (though I personally won't be hot-swapping).

Cons: No deduction-worthy surprises for me. See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this for my primary drive which I recently moved to an SSD. As such, I'm not personally too concerned with heat or vibration.

Not sure why it comes with an old Molex-type power cable and not SATA. Of course, most 2.5" drives only use 5V power anyway so not an issue for the drive, but it could be an issue for power supplies with limited molex.

Would have preferred a more robust connector on the board. The SATA cables don't "lock" in place, so be careful and always double check your connections when making changes inside your case.

No ability to lock the drive doors, and doors are spring-powered to automatically eject your drives. Make arrangements (duct tape) if you think you might brush a knee up against the doors frequently.

The enclosure is ALL metal, and I imagine two HDDs installed in this thing might get a little warm being so close with very little airflow. The drive on the bottom is especially cramped. Otherwise, should be pefect for SSD/HDD combo with SSD on the bottom.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great except

Pros: Small, Metal, sturdy, feels solid, doors open and close precisely.

Cons: This can be a bad one, but it's easy to fix. They do a nice job of painting their little drive bay black. However the paint is a bit of an electrical insulator. When I mounted this nice little baby into my PC, I didn't realize that all the painted surfaces have insulated the drive bay fame from computer frame ground. So when I reached out and touched the little door to open it, I felt a significant ZAP! of static electricity, and there was a significant ESD event onto the upper drive bay. This ESD pulse traveled through the SSD mounted in the upper bay causing the entire SSD to be erased. When I tried to boot my PC, I got the dreaded "No operating system!" message. Luckily, I was able to restore the boot image, and the SSD seemed to be OK other than being erased.

Other Thoughts: The fix is simple. Take some sand paper to the mounting holes, and sand off all the paint in a little spot around the mount holes. Also make certain that the rails in your case are not painted in areas around the mounting holes for the cradle that is holding this drive bay. Try to make certain that there is a low resistance path from the drive bay frame and the PC frame your mounting this into.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Makes it easy to swap out drives when your motherboard supports hot swapping etc. It also works as advertised, slide the tab, the door opens, put a drive it and when you close the door it makes a solid connection. It's also well constructed, not cheap feeling.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is that it doesn't use SATA power, it uses old school IDE power plugs. Not a huge deal, but it is a con.

Other Thoughts: If you are doing hot swapping of drives, or just want quick access to your drives from the front of your machine, it's a no brainer.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended. No unexpected "features".

Pros: Easy to use. Solid construction, Doesn't feel flimsy at all. Very compact. Once the drives are in the bays, they feel snug. No rattling at all.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The bottom bay was a little tight when closing the latch, and the top was fairly loose, but other then that, it does its job. No issues with the connections.
