5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Good value, no installation problems, good performance

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I use this rack on average once per week in order to run backups on a hard drive that my company stores in a fire safe for the rest of the time. So far this setup has worked well.

4 out of 5 eggsNo more messing with scews to stap a hdd

Pros: Mechanically it is very nice, actually quite impressive

Only paid $10.39 :) Shell Shocker at 13.99+20% off HDD accessories coupon (my mom ordered it, as the coupon was hers)

Not as flimsy as it looks in the picture

The vibration absorbing rubber works nice, noticeable difference with old loud sata HDDs

Also works with slim 3.5" HDDs

Allows proper airflow around the HDD

It has a lock, and the latch is not loose

It comes with 2 keys so I can give one to my girlfriend, IF I HAD ONE T_T

Cons: The electrical design is poorly done it is like it was a after thought, keep reading for more info

Does not line up properly with the front of my rosewill challenger case, unless I remove my tool-less mounts for that bay or drill a couple holes in the metal
will make those holes next time i extract the dust bunnies (all of my intakes have dust filters where do they come from)
It is currently inset by 2mm
My light-on dvd burner lines up right <.<

No power button, would have been neet if the lock was also a power switch

Now about that led and adapter, that was designed poorly, I am not cluttering up my case with that adapter, see other thoughts
That adapter has a 6" wire to go about 2 inches, that is clutter, it does not even have the black mesh covering on the wire to match my Seasonic M12II PSU
The led will do the same thing as the one on my case so it is redundant anyway

Other Thoughts: I mounted it using the 4 screws and my tool-less mounts

I got this to replace my SNT-125 (N82E16817993031) as I was tired of dealing with 4 screws when I wanted to swap a HDD

I unplugged the led wire to the circuit board on the back and unscrewed the circuit board then tucked the wire away
I connected my sata power and sata date cables to it and it works just like it should, just without the I/O led on the bay working
i put the circuit board in the bag the screws/keys came in, i put the screw back in the tray so i don't loose it

The 2ed thing I did with it after installing and making sure it worked was swap all 5 of my HDDs i had looking for the right one. It is so nice not dealing with screws anymore

I have a icy dock adapter (N82E16817994083) to put 2.5" drives in it

For HOT-SWAP to work you have to use AHCI mode on your sata controller, just like you do to use esata
if you don't have AHCI mode don't expect the system to see the drive without a reboot
look in your BIOS

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: This works like it should for me. I don't use it for hot swapping. I just use it to allow me to remove the HDD without opening the case and fighting with wires. It installed without an issue for me.

Cons: It is ugly like others have said. But that doesn't matter for me.

The rack requires you to connect an adapter that supplies power to both the hard drive and the LED on the front of the rack. They could have easily let you build it into the unit. The only logic I can see for this is it allows you to disconnect the LED power, thus turning off the light.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend that you connect the included power adapter before mounting the rack. Without looking at the directions, I mounted my rack immediately, then had to remove it just to plug in the adapter.

I took off one star because the power adapter annoyed me. I still think this is a wonderful product, and does what it should.

3 out of 5 eggsdecent except...

Pros: Work perfectly for connection, easy of use.

Cons: Not solid mounting if you can't use screws.

Other Thoughts: I purchased 2 of these when they were labeled ConnectLand, before Rosewill rebranded them. None of my cases (Antec P180, some Rosewills) have screw mounted 5.25". Using this rack requires packing material into the gap between the drive housing the mounting rail. By no means a professional job and causes a vibration hum when used. I've almost purchased a new case just so I can use the 2 racks I've already purchased, but I like my P180 too much and will just find another solution.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple. No fuss.

Pros: Easy installation. Reads my hard drives as intended. Great for people that swap out hard drives often with different media, transferring data from one hard drive to another, and cloning hard drives. I purchased two with the intent of doing hard drive clones and data transfers. Makes working much more neater than having hard drives hanging out the open side of my case with SATA cables power supply leads all willy-nilly.

Cons: Wish they came with 2.5" SATA HDD adapters.

3 out of 5 eggsdissapointed

Pros: adds 3.5" drive to external access with a hotswap feature...

Cons: tray was loose fitting and for those who have 5.25" quick mounts with attachment of locking mechanism one one side only it leaves the adapter rocking around after install.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product with a couple of small caveats

Pros: * Very easy installation in my setup.
* Very easy to swap drives.
* Lock makes sure no on accidentally pulls my boot drive during operation.

Cons: * My rig is ultra-quiet. This does make the drive activity noise a little more audibly noticeable. (would not hear it if music or gaming)
* During POST, my system cycles an extra time before fully booting with boot drive installed (have not tried with boot drive back directly connected) Does not seem to affect normal operation otherwise.

Other Thoughts: My setup:
Case: Antec Performance One Series P183 V3 Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129061
Power Supply: Antec CP-850 850W Continuous Power CPX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371024
Motherboard: ASUS P6X58D Premium - LGA 1366 - X58 - DDR3 - USB 3.0 SATA 6 Gb/s - ATX Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131614R

I use this to swap boot drives for a couple of different purposes. My drives are:
1) Seagate Barracuda 7200 1.5 TB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s 32MB Cache 3.5 Inch Internal Hard Drive ST31500341AS-Bare Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148337
2) Seagate ST380815AS Barracuda 7200.10 SATA 3.0Gb/s 80-GB OEM Hard Drive

3 out of 5 eggsGreat idea

Pros: I have 25+ HDD's that I use for various jobs. Would eliminate the need for external enclosures.

Cons: Doesn't fit my desktop. Face plate has to have 5.25 bay without doors for optical drives. Doors can be removed, but stops would need to be broken off. Wish I knew that before trying to install.
