5 out of 5 eggsIt really does do SATAIII

Pros: Works exactly as advertised.

Cons: Confusing as box/included manual specify SATA I/II and not III

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing & Not worth it

Pros: Holds 2 drives and uses one power source

Cons: Enclosure is too short for normal installation into drive bay in case, so only 2 screws/posts are used to hold it in place which then allows it to wobble while installed and you have to place it toward the back of the tray you are using for sata/power connections to reach. This also makes it so you have to fully remove the enclosure each time in order to reach the drives and remove/replace them because its hard to reach in to grab the drives and because like others have said, the arms don't eject the drives very well. The placement of the sata connections is a bad design because you cant use 2x 90 degree sata cables being that one is right above the other. IMO this enclosure was not worth the cheap price. Aggravating, as I should have paid the 34.00 for the "Ultra" brand of enclosure I bought at TD. I did buy a Patriot Convoy here at Newegg with good results however it has been discontinued.

Other Thoughts: Corsair 600T case, ASUS x99 Deluxe,Intel Core i7-5820K, CORSAIR DOMINATOR Platinum 16GB, 4X Samsung 840 Pro SSD in Raid0, Nvidia Quadro K4000,

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems

Pros: Works with every drive I've tried, standard, hybrid and SSD.
Hot swap works great

Cons: The only mild complaint is that sometimes the release mechanism doesn't kick the drive out far enough.

5 out of 5 eggsCabe Tech

Pros: This is a nice quality and reasonably priced two bay enclosure. The packaging was good and came with all the needed parts and cables. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend to others looking to use Sata III drives.

Cons: None to speak of.

Other Thoughts: I have been using this for over three months in a 24/7 home server and it has worked flawlessly, have a Samsung 830 SSD and a standard Seagate 500 Gig 2.5 inch for storage. One Sata II and one Sata III no issues with either drive, and the blue led indicators are not overly bright. VERY HAPPY with this purchase.

4 out of 5 eggsHuh?

Pros: Compact, aluminum frame, access doors open well, door fully open detent, nicely done for an inexpensive price.

Cons: Advertised on NewEgg as Sata 1,2 and 3. Owners manual states Sata 1 and 2. Cables are not labeled Sata 3. How is a person to know what was purchased if the manual does not meet advertised specifications?

Other Thoughts: In my experience, it is unlike NewEgg to advertise falsely. Gonna keep these units and test the transfer rate with Sata 3 cables. One egg off for the confusion.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Units

Pros: Nice clean looking enclosures. Work well for what they were designed for.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Other than I had to modify my 3.5" HDD rails to accomondate the short enclosure design to mount these in my CM Scout case all went well. Love the fact that i can now swap my SSD's around w/o messing w/ wires & cables. Since I only have 4 SATA III headers on my mobo I installed 2 of these enclosures.........Newegg=Satisfaction!

3 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price.

Pros: Nowadays, I only build systems with 2.5" drives (SSD and mechanical) and this dual-bay enclosure is fantastic for accessibility and ease of mounting 2.5" disks in a 3.5" world. I like that a single SATA power cable in the back can power both drives.

Cons: One egg off for wimpy springs to deploy the ejection arms.
Another egg off since the drive LEDs do not represent disk activity... just whether a drive is in the bay or not.

Other Thoughts: With just a few tweaks this product could be perfect. Until then, it's still pretty good for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it. Works great.

Pros: Does what it is supposed to do very well. I don't know how durable it is in the wrong hands, but I take care with my stuff so it doesn't matter.

Cons: none
